Does anyone know where I can buy rubber flooring for a home gym? The 2' x 2' interlocking tiles are fine as well, but searching online I can't seem to find any locally, only in the States.

I've seen those interlocking ones for sale at both Home Depot and Rona. I'm pretty sure they're used for childrens play rooms or something.

Here's the link to the mfg-- http://www.getrung.com/?gclid=CM7v2KK455ECFR_jOAodcjdMkg
I couldn't find it on either the HD or Rona websites, but I saw them on display there.

I bought some rubber flooring from the TSC in Cainsville just outside of Brantford. It is very thick and was a pain to cut to fit in certain spots but i makes an amazin flooring for weights I can literally throw my dumbells from 4 feet off the ground with no problems. I can't remember the size of the tiles but by looking ait it looks like 3'X6' and about 1" thick.

CW, I'll send you a PM...athletic/rubber flooring is one of the things I do for work. From hockey arena skate tile (ie. Marlies dressing room at Ricoh Arena) to YMCA's, community centres, and fitness clubs.

If you guys are looking for anything, shoot me a PM.

I have actually provided Swain with some samples and quotes for his studio.

(I hope the TGN staff are ok with this post.)

Hi, just go to fitness edge, stores around the GTA. They sell 4X6 rubber mats. Don't buy the interlocking foams stuff. It is unsafe for workouts, and dents and rips and will look like crap later. JR-real_sport

Its lots of fun. I don't even lift that much but just throw them down for effect.

Was at Home Depot last weekend, and they had a product I'd not seen before, "Active Floor" by Multy Industries. Same concept as those playroom squares, but serious thick rubber, with a tighter "puzzle piece" locking system. Tiles are about 1/4" to 5/16" thick, and in 16.5" x 16.5" squares. Not cheap, around $4.00 per square foot, but the best consumer grade product like this I've seen.

(Don't bother trying to find their website, it only shows their doormats and runners).
