I have half jackets with both the standard oval lense and a set of XLJ lenses, Bronze Iridium and Gold Iridium repectively. I tried the the golf purpose Fire Iridium and found I had a really hard time reading the greens. I then Bought a pair or polarized lenses in thebronze iridium an now I never have to take my sunnglasses on and off. Oakly was really cool too and let me exchange the Fire Iridiums even after like 3 weeks of golf. Bronze Iridium Polarized IMHO are the best lenses for any outdoor activity. cant be beat. See if you can find a pair at a GT and then go over to the putting green, not the best example but if your anything like me, you don't only wear sunglasses when its bright and sunny, sometimes overcast days are worse because you feel more Glare. So unless you are going buy the whole golf array (Good Luck switching lenses in and out all the time, you'll either chip your frames or scratch a lense if you are repeatedly doing yourself.) you need to find a lense that will work in all conditions. LMK if you need a new pair as I have some crazy deals on Oakley's as a friend of mine works for Luxotica which own sunglass Hut and Lenscrafters.

The G36, I think it is, is a fantstic lense for golf. I have it for my Flak Jackets and my Half Jackets. I love it. I also use the polarized Smoke lense as well.

Forgot all about the G30 Iridium, nice lense in Grey to mild overcast I didn't like them so much in the bright sun as they have a pinkish hue which I just found unnatural IMO seemed like they let o much light in even thought they have over 90% dispersion rate. Try them cuz like Jeff said they are great lenses but no in every condition. I'd be willign to bet Jeff wears the G30 lense on grey to mild overcast days and the Polarized Smoke on the bright and sunny days.;)

I have the Fire Iridium and Ice Iridium for my XLJ Half Jackets. I find the Ice works well for all around use on bright days. I wear the fire for golf as I really find the lenses sharpen everything up as all the glare is taken away. Contrary to above post, I find the greens better to read as the glare is gone the shapes (of the undulations) seem to pop out better. Just my take on lenses. Good luck.
Very comfortable frames and lightweight as well.

The G30 and the Fire and Ice Iridiums are totally different lenses with different hues, a lot PGA golfers use the Fire Iridium but usually in a larger one peice lense, not sure if that makes a difference.

The answer is yes and no, you can NOT have their plutonium(plastic) lenses RX'ed only their glass or acrylic lenses, typically only found in metal frames. Very limited number of styles and lenses that can be RX'ed. Oh how I wish they all could be. I'd have my Riddles, Halfjackets, Eye Jackets, Full Jackets, monster Dogs etc all RX'ed.

I have the Bronze Iridium Polarized lenses in my XLJ's. Best lenses I've ever had. I've tried the golf specific lenses, but they didn't compare to the polarized lenses.

Thats the lense I roll with in all my oakleys. By far the best lense ever. My Riddles have a one piece B.I Polarized lense, best and clearest vision I have ever had on the course, not to golf-looking though so looks a little funny.
I have plasma Half-jackets which due to wear and tear issues of the finish they do not make anymore. I have the polarized standard not XLJ bronze iridium lenses and those are my golfing glasses. fit soooo well. I love Oakley they produce some really great products, like their golf shirts a lot, they fit really well.

Not completely correct, as I have polarized Black Iridium RX lenses in my X-Metal XX's. They are plutonite lenses AFAIK. Yes, the selection is limited but they are available.
One thing to note about Oakley RX lenses is the exorbitant price. If my insurance didn't cover it, I'd have a hard time with plunking down that kind of coin. My XX's were nearly 900 dollars, and the Crosshairs that I have on order were nearly 600.

i've got the bottlecaps with the bronze transitions and they have been awesome. No complaints, they do not lighten and darken very quickly. Once you are outdoors they pretty much darken up.
cheers
