View Full Version : I think I have a BST "sickness"
JEBS

I get this constant empty feeling in my gut. I feel all shaky when I cannot check out the BST forum. I find myself looking for some kind of weakness in my golf bag to change over. I have actually replaced some clubs that I have not had a chance to play yet over the winter... I think I need help.
My bag is pretty much set ( I cannot even commit to that statement) My driver does very well for me, I also have a half dozen back ups if it misbehaves. My FW is the best I have ever owned. I finally have the irons I have always wanted and my putter is a gift from the wife so that is currently sacred (thank god it works very well for me). My attention now turns to my wedges. I know they are not the most highly rated wedges, but neither is my short game, in fact my short game is not even worthy of those wedges. My short game is not even worthy of a "foot" wedge, yet I now crave for some custom grind specialty wedge that will bring me out of the short game darkness.
I know, I know I should spend that ever shrinking resource of money into a proper fitting and lessons, but can you swing lessons in your back yard? on a walk with your dog or redecorate your house by taking out a hurricane lamp in your back swing??
I really need spring to come save me from myself. This four bedroom house feels like a garden shed and my wife has banned my clubs to the basement.

I'm thinking of selling my 60* wedge from Miura, used 1/2 dozen times, no dings just fade at the bottom and face. I would say 8.5 - 9 out of 10, only because of the fade.
Everything in the bag is satin so I want a satin 60*.:cookoo: but I just want all the same colour. I could be talked into letting it go for a good price.

That's the exact reason why I let my Wishon CX platinums go, I could not stand the way it wore...plus the fact it had a rounded toe.
Anyhow, JEBS, just have some beer and manage the pain...don't fight it.

Thanks Thomas, but I am not looking for a 60* if anything it would just mess up my short game even more since I would be looking for reasons to use that sweet Miura 60* when I should be using another club.( It would be pretty funny using a 60* off every tee) I think I am going to chill out as much as humanly possible until I know what kind of loft and grind will suit my game the best. I am also thinking of making my game more simple with a 56* that I can open up with the right grind. Or get a 54* since my PW is now too close to the 52*
JEBS....so what can I sell you? :p

My name is skt07 and I am a BST addict. It's been 2 hours since my last deal and I'm feeling good. I think I'm really going to be able to quit this time. I'm just taking it 1 minute at a time.

Lots of people that frequent golf forums have ho'ing sickness, it is not unusual at all. For that matter, if you hang around other forums like Howard Forums, the turnover in cell phones is huge. racmbs is a big ho in cell phones, he seems to have a different one every couple of months.
Personally, I only ho clubs, I will have a few things for sale shortly!!!:D JEBS, you need wedges ... I have a couple of Oil Can Vokeys and a Callaway 60MD coming up for grabs soon!!!:shhh:

I am selling 3 used wedges (52/08, 56/14, 60/4) Titleist spinmilled wedges with sticky iomic grips put on them. They are probably 8/10.
Reason why I am putting these up for sale cause Gord talked me into getting the Miura wedges when I got the CB 202s....I wanted the whole set to look satin clean.
Let me know if you are interested.
