what will make them any different then possibly being available to tour players before being available off the shelf? sure the milling in the cavity will probably be different. but how much may that actually effect the playability?
i don't think anyone denys there is stuff available to tour players. but it also has to follow the same rules as what you are going to buy off the shelf or build through components

Not following you.
The real difference is in the QC. These are forged in Japan. If there is ever a sheft vs. it will be made in China. Head Weights, 246g on the 3 iron and very trad. lofts. 50deg on PW. Every head is in 7g inc. and the loft follow at 4deg, except the 3 and 4 iron at 3deg. Never be touch on a bender. That is Quality. Many OEM set's are out 2 to 3 degt in Lie and Loft!

Do you really want to start an debate about something that has been discussed over, and over, and over, and over, and over again here? :p
Quite a few of us, including myself...were in the biz for many years and were exposed to the tour and non-tour stuff distributed by many of the main players in the OEM field. We can argue what we think is different, and I can tell you what is NOT different.
Head weights.....there is more to it than that which gives it the Tour Issue designate.
I won't argue this point ever again, because it's such a waste of time.

I am sorry cfgolfer...but aren't these the same club heads as R7 TP Forged available in Japan. These are available from Tour Spec Golf.com. I heard they are not that expensive if you buy them from Asia. Those club heads are not uncommon. They are just uncommon in North America.
If you need to go club heads hunting, Japan is definately the place to go.

Hey CF,
TM actually does not offer these on their Tour Van! Those are actually a Japanese offering as cf mentioned. Basically TM only has a cast iron on Tour these days.
