Hi guys,
I've been wanting to get clubs online but I'm not too sure how the taxing part works. The prices are cheaper but I'm afraid that when it gets here it'll cost pretty much the same if I had bought it here. How much would I get taxed if I bought things online from a US website?
Anyone know any online stores with good prices?
thanks for the help

Hey there,
try golfetail.com I just got my REAL r7 irons for under 500.00.
The trick is to pay for ups expedited where the brokerage is included. I forgot about this tip and ended up paying 115.00 in brokerage.
Hope this helps.
FOr used clubs I aways shop global golf.com

Generally speaking, for regular rates (ie not expedited) you'll pay around $40 as a brokerage fee.
Then you pay full taxes based on the declared value of the goods.

I've found this site:
http://www.myborderpro.com/2006/
to be pretty helpful. Not 100% exact, but at least gives you a good idea.
Also, I've found Fedex International Priority to be the best... includes brokerage, so you only play duty/taxes.
Hope that helps!

I purchased a couple of wedges at tgw.com last fall and had them delivered UPS Expedited. I'm in Toronto and the delivery was at my door within 48 hours, no additional brokerage fees, only had to pay PST/GST on the value of the purchase, did not get taxed on the shipping charge which came to about $30 for 2 wedges. Very happy with the service, the only thing is that the first time you buy you will have to fax them a credit card authorization form for security purposes, on any purchases after the first you just order online.
