Zinger vs. Faldo

My opinion of the Ryder Cup captains choices is that they were made to 'juice up' the atmosphere of a fast becoming dull event. Azinger and Faldo,although both stating they are friends,have quite a history between them. I for one will be watching T.W. when he plays but otherwise I'll save my T.V. time for the Presidents Cup matches. ;) What are your views of the picks and do you think it will turn into a media circus of he said/he said? I'm also guessing that assistant captain Fred Couples will lurk in the shadows until the coast is clear.

I don't think Azinger is the right candidate. I would like to see Larry Nelson honoured for his career, a far more deserving man. As for all this hype. Blah blah. :cookoo:

They went with Zinger because the US haven't done well lately.
Nelson's nature is too low key for the boys to rally round,but he'll get the next chance.
I think the Faldo vs Azinger was no accident. Azinger can't stand Faldo and the tension might work in his favour.
Unfortunately Faldo's Euro team mates are not that enamored with him either.
It will be interesting. Just don't expect them to kiss and make up.

EDIT: As it turns out the quotes in this article was made up by a UK tabloid. Both Zinger and Faldo have agreed on that.
