Hi everyone,

I'm 21 and had just started playing golf not long ago... I stumbled upon this site one day while searching google and decided to join. Just wanted to say hi to everyone at Toronto Golf Nuts...

Welcome. I found this site a few months back, and it great. Lots of knowledgable people, and just about everybody has a perfect attitude regarding the game. Have fun, but watch out for Mikemakeitso ;) He's a bear!

haha... thanks guy I appreciate the warm reception to a new face... I would love to come to one of the next tournaments only problem is that... well, no easy way to put this... I suck... haha... But hopefully my game will improve and I'm currently looking for a golf instructor who could teach me to play properly... (if that's possible)... But I appreciate the invite...

You assume that you have to play well to play in a tourney. Guess what? You probably don't suck any worse than I do. Learn how the keep the pace, and nobody will care what you score.

Don't think that way SteveGTA, all of us started at some point and stunk at the game as well. This is not a good reason to not play in any tournaments. Come out, have fun, meet some people and have a beer!! Besides, it will probably be in a team format so it doesn't matter what skill level you're in.

Yeah, it's so easy to lose confidence in this game. I thought I hit the ball alright for my level, but the last time I went to the range, I duffed every ball!! no joke :(

But anyway, this thread isn't about me... Welcome to the forum and hope to hear more from ya!

WOW. what a welcome - I don't ever remember receiving a welcome like this when I first joined the forum a week ago. LOL.

JK- welcome - I myself am in the process of learning as well, so I hope to learn from the discussions and possibly play a round with some of the members in the future if something is organized!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the warm reception, I would love to play in the tournaments I just originally thought you had to have a certain skill level to play in tournaments, not sure why I was under that assumption? But yea I would love to all get together one day and play. Maybe even get a few pointers on how to play better... What courses do you usually play at? Maybe we could organize a day where we could get together and as Focker Singh put it "Come out, have fun, meet some people and have a beer!!"...haha... I've only played on one course so far one time, it was down by VP and Danforth beside the Subway station their it's right beside it. Not sure if anyone has been there? But it had a few challenging holes, some your shooting uphill some off of a cliff like tee position... all holes on that course were par 3's although I only got par once or twice... and one of those was lucky, somehow I teed off and bounced my ball off a tree in the rough and it landed right on the green beside the hole...haha... it's all about beginers luck ;)... But I would be interested to know what courses you guys play and how you like them...
