I'd get a new one. Dell, HP, etc. all decent laptops.

Look for 2GB RAM, min 100MB HD. Should be able to get for around $700+tax. screen size depends on your preference - 15.5 should be fine and how much you think you will carry it etc. the bigger the heavier.

Get Rogers high speed, for around $38 / month, the 2nd level from the bottom, can't remember the name.

For wireless you will need a wireless router. Best Buy had one on sale in the winter where they would come set it all up for you, though it isn't that hard, but if you are not so inclined it might be worth the $

If you don't want wireless, Rogers supplies the modem for you and you simply plug the cable into your laptop from the modem. Rogers will set that up for you.

Start surfing.

If you're going to use this on a construction site then Toshiba is the only way to go.

CG is right.. get a toughbook!!! Sealed for dust and very tough..

Not the nicest looking NB but See Below:

The original suggestion of HP is also really good too.. much more options and much cheaper.. just not as durable.

good luck
