Tough to discount VJ this week after his play last week. Would be nice to see Tiger and him dual it out. A great set up for a rivalry next year if Tiger and Singh were to finish 1,2.

well well...the old man is leading the way after the 1st round, Jay Haas, -3, I personally don't think he'll be anywhere near the leaderboard after Saturday...The Big 4 all struggled today and was hard to watch VJ scramble here and there...I must say, Tiger's in some kind of Funk, Weir is the REAL Tiger? he's still Verplank'd with his Daly dose of Nordegren I bet...they're in Love III...should Ames to focus on his game more and start winning again!!

it's hard to pick just one. all these guys are the best for the year so far accounting for more than 40% of all tour winnings. what a bonus it is for the fans to watch hopefully a very high calibre or play.

hahaha...no copying, I thought of that on the spot...come on..give me some credit man...I expect the Big 4 to have better rounds today, everyone was complaining about "mud balls" yesterday and the course was supposed to dry out a bit yesterday...GO VJ GO!

Nice work, F. Singh!
I'm rooting for Tiger though. I want him to come back to form soon. As excellent as Vijay is, Tiger in contention makes for a much more entertaining golf tournament. Vijay is just "too" perfect, man.

*sigh*...how disappointing to see Weir struggle the way he did on the last 4 holes. I know 16-18 are supposed to be the tougher end of this course but he really stunk it!! He was -6 and fell to -2 all from the last 4 holes. Tiger had an amazing round, though he still couldnt' find the fairway, he was hot with his irons and putter. Can't believe Haas is in the lead. That completely boggles me. Ames was solid all day too. GO CANADIANS GO!!

Didn't know you had it in you. ;) Too bad we can't add Ames in the poll, I'd vote Canadian.

Me too, I'm rooting for Tiger. It's been an 8 months no-win streak for him and I think it's about time he breaks it. Though Haas is leading after Friday, Tiger is just 3 shots back and tied with Goosen. So I think it's looking very close. Of course...Ames who is in 2nd place right now would be my 2nd choice if Tiger doesn't win. Ames is actually a native of Trinidad, but he is a Canadian citizen now living in Calgary.

Ames = others in this poll hehe...

Very very nice back to back rounds put together by Tiger on "moving day". His best in 4 years. Last time was at the Bell Cad Open in 2000, where he shot 64-65-64 in his last 3 rounds. He says his swing changes are showing results now. Lets just hope he can sustain a charge tomorrow from old man Haas and "choker" Weir. Nice to see Weir shoot a good round to stay in the hunt. Goosen is another guy to watch out for. Lets see if Tiger can break this slump!

TIGER = CHOKE!!!
4 shot lead into Sunday, good conditions and he shoots 1 over par??? There's no "killer instinct" in Tiger anymore...it was his to win. I knew Haas would falter but I honestly thought Tiger was finally going to win one this year! Not an injury, no more wedding distractions, it was a pure choke. Well done Gooseboy for a strong 4 rounds...played smart and had some very fantastic shots from the rough and fairway.
Kudo's to Ames and Weir for sticking around.

so disappointing! but so much pressure was on him and he knew it. not the tiger we have grown to know. the old tiger used had a high percentage of winning when leading after 3 rounds...

he still does...something like 30 out of 34 now. i think that's what the broadcaster said. they also said that the new swing was finally starting to show some good results but it didn't hold up under the pressure.
hopefully, he will use this as a springboard for next year.
honestly, second place is nothing to be ashamed of IMO! but of course 1st is always better. and we've come to expect that from tiger

Yeah... I agree Tiger didn't do as well as he should have. I was really disappointed. I caught a bit of the 6th, 7th and 8th holes. When he kept hitting it into the right rough and left it short of the flag on his 3rd shot...I knew he was in trouble. *sigh* All I can do is cheer for him again next time.

It definitely would have been a good way to end the season......you can't ask for more than a 4 shot lead going into the final round......then again, Goosen shooting a 64 on the final round...u can't ask for better than that either.....
I like Goosen, so I can't complain....he's a very mellow guy with a smooth, relaxed golf swing....
Els and Goosen in the upcoming WGC has got to be one of the favourites along with the Americans.....
