it seems like his first aggresive shot the whole day was on 17 today - do you think tiger will make a saturday run - moving up the leaderboard? i sure hope so to make things interesting

Tiger opened his stance for the first time with the driver on 17 and hit a good cut, followed it up with a good wedge to tap in birdie. He made 4 on the last hole which he'll be asked if that was the turning point to his win. Guess that tells you my answer. :D

--the way the other guys usually choke, he should have no problem. What the f is rose's problem. Does he need a shrink? he throws away so many tournaments. the guys on tv will point to one bad hole, but you can see right from the beginning of the round that he's nervous and playing like crap. He should have been able to create some distance between himself and tiger, not let tiger pass him by. Maybe a guy like rose needs a strong caddie that will calm him down.

Plain and simple, he's just not playing well. Way too far back of too many good golfers to win.

I think 66 an dmaybe 67 will give him a outside chance but not looking good.:(

That is what many thought at the AT&T Pebble Beach in 2000 when he came from 5 strokes back in the final round to win. Or earlier this year when at the Dubai Desert Classic he made 6 birdies on the back nine on Sunday to win. Of course we don't have to mention that he holds the 72 hole tournament record at The Masters of 18 under.
Of course there is no guarantee that he will mount a big comeback, however, to say that he is way too far back to win is a fairly bold statement.

i think if he posts a good round tomorrow he has a chance, there is only 2 or 3 big name players ahead of him, lets see how it looks at the end of the day tomorrow

I think Tiger is still in it. I really feel that Mickelson is the one that Tiger is concerned with, so -5 is the number. I just don't think Immelman/Snedeker will hold their own, just a tough environment. I feel the leader after Saturday will be -5 or 6 so Tiger needs a tidy 69 and he'll be right in it.

This is a good possibility. Tiger needs to add some more 'crystal' to his collection to have a chance.

well sure, lots of names you've hear of, but not really anybody outside Mickelson having a 4 shot lead on Tiger that should really concern him. Not saying the others can't do it.. i hope Weir/Ames does, just saying Mick is the big threat.

ya i agree... i don't think those guys really make Tiger shiver

There are alot ahead of him that are pretty good players. Most likely lost Rose today. See who falls off tomorrow.
Can't rule Tiger out but there are 10 players as good or better then Zach Johnson ahead of Tiger.
and what has Zach won? Oh ya, a Masters Green Jacket!

Zach won last year. When there are so many that are in the hunt, one may get the job done like last year but you are right, Tiger isn't concerned about them. More concerned about his driving. I think the putts will drop over the weekend.

You are right. He should give back the green jacket. He really doesn't deserve it.
Alot of players may not break 75 if things get windy and fairways/greens get fast.

Tiger needs to make some sort of a serious move tomorrow. Noticed some of his lag putts today were totally misread which is unusual for Tiger.
If he gets closer to the leaders tomorrow............Tiger will "smell blood" and watch out................

Absolutely. He misread a couple by a few feet or more. Don't see that too often.

Forget about Tiger...Go Weirsy!!!
Since 2 years ago when he was trying to win one for his dad, Tiger has been putting too much pressure on himself to play perfect golf at The Masters. As a result of that, he get out of his zone.
I do not see him being able to play consistently for 2 consecutive days.

As far as my math goes, TW is 7 shots back.
And 3rd round is yet to commence.

Well weather's supposed to turn nasty today down there. I doubt anybody can make much of a charge if the weather is nasty. It will be a challenge to stay where they are.

Weather forecast for Sunday is 25-35 mph gusts. This will dry off the greens and make them lightening fast.
Guess it will come down to who can handle the tough conditions best........
Immelman has 2 stroke lead at -11 and 6 strokes over Tiger. Not alot of experience and PGA victories from the bunch ahead of Tiger.............
Could make for a very interesting afternoon of golf...............:D

Sorry to post this but didn't know how else to say sorry to all of you. I have always been a respected person in my community, church and anywhere and this disgusts and humiliates me. "off topic"
Roy, children, much like golf, bring out the best and worst in all of us.
Anger, disgust, joy, pride...all core passion moments.
Main difference is with golf it is a 4 hour effort... kids... well, a bit more.
Hang in there! Even with kids, you will get a hole in one moment that will linger for a life time.
"redirect to topic ... "
I'm sure Tiger will have his share of these in due time.... lol
Question is can TI stumble enough for Tiger to bite... I can see tiger making up +4, but that alone won't cut it.
