Hey Mok, you're pulling the trigger faster than the CRTC with these thread closures. It's a forum full of opinions, .....every member doesn't have to agree with every other member. It's a big world out there.

I personally have always held in high regard the role of moderation within an online community or network. I've seen some of the best groups devolve and disintegreate due to the failure or lack of proper moderation. I've also seen incredible groups last for well over 10 years, which is kind of an Internet century, in large part because the moderation was fair and transparent. I personally don't like this software, as I find it does not offer proper means of organizing and moderating information. I've always liked the way slashdot has handled moderation, and there are tons and tons of slash like clone cms software. Forums kind of lend themselves to a degree of chaos that some people like, but many others do not. IMNSHO

trashing, bashing not allowed in golfi asked about this in the 'rules & etiquette' forum ...
some people seem to enjoy it as it elevates their intensity and focus on-course.:)

I am impressed, how long did it take you to come up with that rhyme?

It's hard to moderate, everyone has a different threashold of what's acceptable or not. If we're trying to be a family oriented and unoffensive, fun golf forum, it's not that bad to lean towards a more conservative approach, IMO. I support Mok, even though I may not agree with all the posts he deletes, but we all know he does his best to keep this forum friendly. :)

Well said Ems, agree with you. Mok is doing a great job for something so dificult to do. It is always best to ehr on the side of caution rather than have someone insulted, or huge disagrements.
