I was playing Eagle Ridge on Friday night with my daughter and lost a 54 degree wedge. I noticed it was missing on Saturday. I called the pro shop immediately and on Sunday and it has not been turned in.
I hope whoever found it intends on turning it in the next time they play there. i have often found clubs and always returned them at the pro shop or to a marshall.
I find it rude that someone would not return a club at a private course(or anywhere).

Unfortunately, there are lots of people who play this "gentlemen's" game who think nothing of taking something that they KNOW doesn't belong to them. I hope for you this turns out not to be one of those people.

FWIW, I found a Vokey at Greyhawk last year and turned it in at the pro shop. Not all Clublink members are unscrupulous. :D
Although I do believe that it would have 100% been turned in at a truly private club.

I've picked up lost clubs and thrown them in my bag and then forget to hand them in. I don't spot it until later and then I phone the course and let them know I have it. Hopefully this is the case here. I have a buddy who found a sand wedge in Florida and accidentally took it home to Toronto. When he discovered it, he called and got the number of the guy who lost it. He fedexed it back to the guy collect ( turned out to be a doctor ). The guy was so grateful he invited my buddy for a round at his private course next time he came down and he took the guy up on his offer last year. Good things can happen when you're honest.

I forgot a wedge at the side of the green at Watson's GLen a couple of years ago. I didn't realize it until a couple of holes later. I had a cart so I drove back all the way to the green where I KNOW I left it and asked the 2 groups I passed along the way. No one claimed to have found it and it wasn't where I know I left it. Those two groups got very dirty looks as I passed them on the way back to the hole I was playing. I know one of the 8 people found and kept it and that they lied to me.
Some people in this world just aren't honest - whether or not they're golfers.
