I do play a number of Charity Tournaments during the year and sometimes look for some to play in.

Playing Wednesday and it happens to be at my partners home course (Clublink). These tournaments are never cheap and I do admit to calculating the price of the game in to the overall cost of the event.... So I just thought that my partner and many Clublink members must shudder at an invite to a tournament at one of their courses that they are paying for in any case.

You get invited or are asked to Eagle's Nest, Angus Glen, Lionhead, Woodensticks or Bond Head you know you would be paying $150 for the course.... However if you are a gold or Platinum member at Clublink, you can't be thrilled to go to a tournament at Glencairn, Kings Riding, Blue Springs, Caledon Woods where you have playing privaledges......

So How many charity events do you play a season?

And if you are a Clublink Member do you feel you are Paying twice for these tounaments?

I usually do 2-3 of these events, usually not worried about the cost as it is for a charitable cause.

Personally I play in two tournaments a year. I am not a clublink member but I just prefer to be able to pick my own venue, course and green fees rather be constrainted by the tournament. The two I play in are for charities I would support regardless the golf. As a P.S. I am a student so to be honest squeezing in the golf I can is often hard enough with tuition and other expenses. Don't take my above grouse about venue and such as a beef about contributing to the charities being supported.
