Hi, just wondering if I should worry about the border with fairly new golf clubs in my trunk.
Has anyone had any trouble bringing there golf clubs across. Giong to buffalo for a few games.
I have a few games on them but they do look new. Should I get my fitter to write out an invoice for them to save any trouble. Tom.

You have never had to explain any new clubs in the trunk, or is this just a given with border guards that people bring there golf clubs back and forth and they won't bother you.
I know we take reciepts for I-Pod, potable DVD and Camera's.
I've heard horror stories about some crossings.

From all of my trips to Buffalo for doctor's appointments, I've never once had my sticks "inspected" by either side's customs officers. I've even gone down without a fairway wood because I knew I was picking up new ones delivered to NY. I just stopped at a course prior to coming back across so they were "used", just in case they decided to check. Never happened.
Make sure the price tag and adhesive are removed before going across.

Take a picture of your clubs with a newsper showing the date. If they ask at the border, pull the picture out of your wallet like you would a picture of your wife / girlfriend and as you hand it to the border patrol say something like aren't they beauties? I hope they stay this good looking for ever.

Or keep your receipt from the course.
