Ok folks....time to get the ball rolling on this event, as the course is filling up fast with tourneys and I'm sure we've all got plans this summer with our families that will waiver your decisions.

This thread is simply to figure out what day works best for people, and we will take it from there. I would like this event to go down in July, as I've already got 3 events planned for June, 2 events in July, and 4 others in August that are making this one a tough one to plan. July 13th is simply out of the question as the TGN tourney at Bond Head is set for that day, and I'm already committed to another event myself.

Obviously this will be done on a weekend, and would like to try and help accommodate those that have family and those that work weekend shifts with split days off.

So please...fire away and offer up some suggestions as to the date in July you could make it, and the day that works best for you. There are several of us that have rain cheques from the last event, so I need to know when you guys can make it as well.

And one more thing:

If you commit to this event, I expect you to show up. If you are a golfer that doesn't enjoy participating in the rain, then I suggest you don't commit until the very last minute, as it makes it difficult to solidify groupings when people are bailing left and right because of rain. If you commit up until the day of, then I would expect you to show up as well......

Thanks guys, :)

I was thinking July 27....as it's 2 weeks after the July 13 TGN tourney and will allow people to put some scratch away.

See...I remembered you said "Sunday's please" :D

I think an early morning round, if possible, would help allow people to get home in time to spend some time with family as well....so long as you guys are good with that too, if I can get it done.

I'll need to ask the admiral. She'll either hang me from the nearest yardarm or let me go and work off my sins later. Unfortunately I'm more sinner than saint.

I'm playing:
Richmond hill this Friday
Ashburn this Sunday
Trillium woods Friday sat sunday
Oaks of St George Monday May 26
...

I think I'll wait a while to ask her.

Oh and I play up to a class 4 hurricane.

Ok boys...July 27th is the date that has been booked, this gives me plenty of time to work on it. Those who are thinking of joining this time around, and prefer not to play in the rain, I ask this:

If you commit, do not bail a week in advance as it really puts a damper on things. Planning around people that jump out of a foursome when the groups are set, make it difficult to juggle things around....as quite a few most always request playing with those they are comfortable with. Instead, if you could wait until the day of the event to see what the weather is doing and then email me your decision....that would be great.

The start times now for this event can be one of the following, keeping in mind that this will be a crossover. Once I get confirmation from the majority as to when they would like to start, I will create a new thread and start taking names....

I would like the 10:45 start as I'm 128kms away but knowing there are people that are a further distance I wouldn't whine if it was 7:45 time.

Okay maybe I would whine a little but will go with the flow. Bilinguru will play also, he's doesn't have access to computer at the moment, also Jayda will play.

So far the 3 of us as a group and if okay and we'll let you know the 4th, thanks, Tom.:)

well the first option was 7 something, the second 10 something.
I am glad it is the latter. As much as I hate bailing on part of the cdn open I didn't really relish the early one if it had been picked.
Since this is a toronto site most are coming at least an hr away, more if in east end. If I had wanted to grab a bite, hit some balls, would have been leaving here at 5:30 or so, not something I want to do on a sunday morning.

I like the time.

Sorry bro...it was either 7:45 or 10:45.

Based on some comments from people who's have to travel a distance to get there (a don't blame them, takes me over an hour)...I went with the 10:45 start time to help make it easier, especially on those with family.
