jeez When I was at Durham the places to go were Banshee, Big Sexy, LeScratch, Dungeon, the Corral, Ep Taylor's to name a few. Those are a wide spread catering to differeny music tastes and ages. At the moment that is all I can help you with.

As for the rippers they usually get a little upset if the men start dancing. Most of the patrons are there to see the girls.

When I was at Durhm none of those places existed except the Corral. For us it was O'tooles, Winfields and Copperfileds and The Purple Onion. All gone now.

Played the Corral a couple of months ago. That place was smoking. Ladies night on Tuesday was just crazy. All those lovely durham college ladies made me wish I was 18 again.

I went to Durham ... Ep Taylors was good for pub night ... Adrenalyn for $2 drinks on Friday nights ... I forget the name of that one right on the highway that was an old motel and painted purple (Orchid maybe??) and depending on how many drinks we had in us we would go into Illusions .. just for the scenery!

Dance Hall Days :D

Take your baby by the hand
And make her do a high hand stand
Take your baby by the heel
And do the next thing that you feel

Chorus:
We were so in phase
In our dance hall days
We were cool on craze
When I, you, and everyone we knew
Could believe, do, and share in what was true
Oh, I said

Take your baby by the hair
And pull her close and there there there
Take your baby by the ears
And play upon her darkest fears

Repeat Chorus

So take your baby by the wrist
And in her mouth an amethyst
And in her eyes two sapphires blue
And you need her and she needs you
And you need her and she needs you
