people on the planet. Was at a morning conference @ Angus Glen this morning and driving up I was as always awed by what a nice course it and all the top tiered Toronto courses are. Still only May and it looked in fabulous shape. Then I think of the sniping PGA Tour Pros do almost every week on every course that is not one of the sacred few (Torry Pines, Pinehurst, Augusta, Pebble, Riviera....). To think these guys get waited on hand and foot, treated like kings and then to complain about courses like Angus Glen or the Abbey makes me shake my head.

Maybe I miss the nuances of many of these courses as I read complaints and comments by many on this site, but as long as the course is in pristine shape, there are a number of interesting holes, and the round is under 4.5 hours (4 is better), who can complain???

I have not played Angus but I walked part of the North and South during the Open and I liked what holes I saw.
To beat the rush,we drove down the road to the bar-lounge of the other high end course that Stephen Ames touted as being much better. Haven't played that one either.
I did notice that it has a limited driving range and parking won't handle more than a full wedding.
I do know that bar did not meet my standards.

A course doesn't have to be on pristine shape...just give me good greens to putt on and keep the fairways cut short and I am very happy.

The South Course and North Courses are very different visually and layout-wise. Clubhouse and facilities are first class.

Have played South many times and always enjoyed it. The treatment you get at AG is first rate and so are the cart girls.

It's just become way to expensive to play recreationally...that's why I take clients there!
