The title actually says Golg Magazine. As for Golf Magazine, I greatly enjoy Golf World. It's a weekly put out by the Golf Digest people. I love that it arrives frequently and gives me lots of substance compared to Golf Digest which I find to have too poor a ratio of ads to actual editorial content.

Uh-oh, someone's gonna get some HEAT for NOT including Canada's-own "Score Golf Magazine" in the poll!!!!???....everyone has picked up at least (1) Free copy when you're at a course or shop, right? ;)
My question is, WHO subscribes to it?

the are free aren't they. i do like the canadian content but view it more as a advertising brochure to highlight the canadian perspective of golf ... ie. our rising stars on the tours, decent tracks from coast-to-coast, etc. i believe if you are a member of a golf club a subscription is usually included in your membership dues.

;) SCORE GOLF MAGAZINE
My question is, WHO subscribes to it?[/QUOTE]
The copies may be "free" to golfers but the courses do pay for those magazines. They have a deal now where they will deliver the magazine to tournament organizers, for free, to distribute to the golfers.
I like Score magazine, its nice to get golf news from a Canadian perspective.

The only one I've read is Golf Digest which had some decent tips and then I read Fairways the free regional paper because it had an article on Brae Ben

I like Score magazine, its nice to get golf news from a Canadian perspective.Score Golf is a FREE magazine at virtually every golf club in Canada. I believe they publish an equipment guide every year which sells on newsstands, and some golf stores may sell copies as well. The only reason to subscribe to the magazine is if you want it delivered at home as soon as it is published.
Generally speaking, golf clubs DO NOT pay for these magazines. Access to the audiance and floor space at retail is more than enough value for the magazine.

this is what i figured ... SCORE magazine probably pays Golf Clubs for the privilege of getting their product into the hands of the golfing public.

Actually, I just found stumbled onto a magazine that is now my favorite. It's "Today's Golfer" from Britain, and I like it much better than any of the others I've seen. It's pricey, but I'd rather have 1 copy of TG than a years worth of Golf Digest/Golf Magazine (I also subscribe to the latter). Check one out if you can find a well-stocked newstand.

I prefer Golf Magazine but do not subscribe to it, if an article interests me I just pick it up at the store.
Score Golf is good since it provides a lot of info about Canadian players, destinations, courses etc. I have that one delivered, I do not pay a subscription fee, it comes free. I am not sure how that happened but I get a notice annually that I will still recieve it no charge.

I prefer the localised content of Score - and the price (!) - but Digest is the one I pay for. Mind you, I only buy it for the articles....
