Any opinions about the following?
I still see some ads placed for golf equipment or other with no price. Is that against TGN policy and if so has does it fly?
No pictures, unless the ad is to sell golf balls a picture is necessary no? How else to gauge condition color size etc.
O.B.O Or Best Offer. If the ad says $100 or o.b.o and someone offers $50 and the seller replies $75 is lowest I'll go, is that truly o.b.o. More accurately the seller has a minimum bid required like at a car auction. Should the seller honor the o.b.o bid or not?

All ads need a price, forum rules state that.
OBO is all dependant on the seller agreeing to the price. The seller can take the item off the market also, if he/she feels that all they are getting are lowball offers that aren't fair to the value of their item.
Pics only need to be posted if needed by prospective buyers. IMO, pics should be posted, if only to help speed up the transaction.

I see nothing wrong with pics on request. That way if a prospective buyer is requesting pics at least the seller will have confidence that the potential buyer is at least serious. Of course that would mean more work for the seller as they may have to send the pics multiple times instead of just posting them up once.

Out of courtesy I think sellers should post if they have a minimum price and what it is.

I think posting minimum price would be silly when you are trying to get more. Who in their right mind is going to pay more than a posted minimum price. You may as well just say this is the price, period.
The way racmbs does it the best way. He posts a price and says "its firm, all low ball offers will be ignored". The big thing here is just being clear about exactly what you want. If you leave it vague with things such as OBO, then you are just inviting all the low ball offers out of the wood work.

I think some sellers are simply less seasoned than the other. It is not really that big of a deal, expecially since you can always ask questions or clarifications.
As for myself, I still to this day have no clue how to attach a pic FROM MY COMPUTER to my posts.

Not bad it only took 5 replies for the thread to get off topic.
OBO means as the seller I'm willing to sell the item at the best price offered. If that is not the intention of the seller I feel obo should not be in the ad.
Once while looking at a wedge the seller started at $100 then price drop $80 then price drop $60. Finally price drop as written by the seller "come on guys offer me anything cash or trade". After I offered some clubs as a trade the response came back from the seller I'll sell it to you for $80. If I did this in my sales position at work I'd be hung.

OBO means the best offer the seller is willing to accept. This is not an auction site. The seller has no obligation to accept any offer, or even to accept an offer of his/her asking price.

Really, but you know how to change your avatar?
Here's how....scroll down the "Reply/Quote" screen, press the "Manage Attachments" tab, then another 'window' will appear, press the "browse" tab which will go into another 'window' of YOUR computer files 'til you find the picture you want. You can browse 3 different pics at a time, then press upload, once you see the file has uploaded press "close window" and your done.:)

It is the sellers perogative to do what He/She sees fit. In the sceneraio you mentioned, perhaps the seller regretted ofering it for 60 bucks, knowing it was worth more. Or perhaps the trade you offered didn't interest the seller. Or pretty much anything else. As long as the seller posted within the rules ( IE: posted an asking price) It is really up to the individual how they proceed from there. Selling gear on this site is not a job, but more a way to fund other needs; usually. So comparing it to how you would be treated in your job if you did this is, esentially; moot.
Like Pingnut said, it is a BST, not an auction site. The primary difference is in an auction, you bid; and in a BST, you offer. Offers can be accepted, declined; or counter-offered. If the transaction did not proceed as you envisioned it, ces't la vie. There will be more where that one came from. I have been involved in numerous BST transactions both here and elsewhere, and once a mutual agreement has been met; the transactions rarely go off anything but smoothly.
I think the system works excellently.:$
