Now that i can assume by most of you who replied to my last thread about hunters glen and their memberships, that the course may not be worth it, does anyone know of any pretty good courses that offer memberships in that range...up to $2000? preferably around the gta, say under 35 min away from the 401 and yonge, and also i heard don vally has memberships or something, anyone know or heard of this?

thanks in advance and to everyone who responded to my last thread!

I assume you are referring to yearly memberships.
Generally courses divide them into two categories. Weekend and 7 day.
Pheasant Run, Shawneeki, Woodington etc. all offer such packages.
I don't believe you will find any of them in the $2000.00 range. $2500.00 for weekday is about as good as it would get. Their are many more. You can get most of that info on their websites.
Good luck.
Pud.

best value going IMHO is the ClubLink one for Highland Gate

may be more than your budget of $2000 but it really opens you up to a LOT of good golf.

I think you can get a membership for Deer Creek North/South and Glen Cedars for around that price range per annum. You can get to Deer Creek in 35 min from 401/Yonge when it's not rush hour.

(but i notice their full membership limits you to 75 rounds ... so i guess this is more like a pre-paid coupon book for 75 rounds & locker than a real 'membership' ... do most people equate a full membership with unlimited golf or am i waaaay off the mark here?)

It's about $3000 or close with a power cart membership if I remember it correctly. And doesnt it give you access to their Academy Golf Range and Facilities? including their 9 hole executive course there?

I talked to a guy that had a membership at Derr Creek for this year, and he was pissed off at spending the money cause rounds were so slow.

That's the problem I had with Deer Creek this season. Not gonna be playing there for some time that's for sure!
