Recommended Courses: Peterborough???

:) I'll be in Peterborough for a few days this week and am looking for suggestions on good golf courses in the area.
Do you know of any?

Avoid BLack Diamond at all cost. Maybe in two years it'll be a good course but for now, the condition is not there. At least 8 greens were unputtable when we played a month ago because it was just sand.

Oliver's Nest (Lindsay area) 1/2 hour away.

Wolf Run.

Kawartha Lakes (9 and not busy although a John Robinson design- same as Whistle Bear). It's out in Little Britain - not far from Oliver's and Wolf Run.

Pinecrest - not spectacular but some nice holes and good green conditions.

Peterborough GCC, Kawartha GC and Wildfire GC if you can find a member or for Wildfire- are staying at an associated resort.

On the same line as Oliver's Nest and Wolf Run...I'd suggest Lindsay Golf Club. Membership is almost half of what Oliver's Nest and Wolf Run are charging. Challenging golf course...designed by Graham Cooke who also did Oliver's Nest.
