I used this just a week ago - the place was DEAD!
We saw 2 groups the whole day & i dont remember seeing anyone on the new course (looks nice but a little rough around the edges)
Based on the # of rounds i have played at different courses this year - i think courses are slow everywhere.

I emailed Woodington ealier this week, the coupon isnt good for twilight play unfortunately.
I agree with Golftool. A lot of courses just dont seem as busy as previous years. When I call for tee times, I usually have a lot of options.
Dunno if thats because of gas prices or all the newish courses available to play.

Maybe the fact that it is in the middle of nowhere??? Decent course, but a real trek to get to.... Not for TGN'ers, but the average schmo with a family. A decent course.....

I clicked on their location map and whoa...quite the long haul as mentioned....may be the reason I have never played it.
They are kind of in a weird spot, not really that close to TO, not really cottage country, just kind of...out there.

One hour round-trip.....:D I have done the 6:30 tee time and back by noon... Just have to worry about speedtraps on Highway 9...

...um, really just as far as the much praised Osprey Valley!;)
Front 9 of the New 18 is nicer than the back 9, but right now they're playing what they call an "East/West" set-up (9 holes old course/9 holes new course)

And I rail that both courses should be moved to Yonge and the 401 (or make Rosedale & Donalda public with reasonable green fees).;)

Played a couple of weeks ago...Old Course, from the tips, almost 7300 yards, course rating of close to 75 and slope of 140+....
A good test from there...
They are now playing a combo of the two 18's, like said, East and West...
We were out just after 7am, done in 3 hours...it was $59 with a cart....
Hope they continue these promotions, when we head down again, it will be on the list...

...that's a stretch....no doubt Osprey is a fine group of courses, but Woodington holds its own!! :p

..against Osprey? I think we'll have to agree to disagree. IMO, Woodington has some decent holes on the old course, but no comparison to the 54 at the 'sprey. Really not a weak one in the bunch. To each his own, though.:D

Woodington Lake has better clubhouse. In my opinion, other than 14 and 15, the course is good but as a whole, does not stand out or offer enough to entice me to drive all the way to Totenham from downtown T.O.
Can't speak about the new course for I have yet to play it.

The Woodington Lake discount coupon is a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They want $79.05 per person any day of the week with coupon. Well if you golf on a Monday the cost is $80 bucks without the coupon, so if you had the second one at 1/2 price the total cost is $120 divided by two, but OH NO they tell you it is the peak rate. Well on Monday Tuesday the peak rate is $80 bucks including cart. THis is a FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!
So for the monday Tuesday golfer Woodington Lakes has offered to save you a total of about 5 bucks. Since when is that 50%. Can you say RIP OFF
