Bond Head and Grand Niagara

I played these two relatively new courses last week.

Bond Head opened in May and Grand Niagara opened July 15 this year.

I had a great time even though my game was not in top form. I think both deserved to be named to any list of top courses around GTA.

Just wondering if anyone else played them and care to share their experience.

How were the course conditions at Bondhead? I heard they havent been the best recently.

The condition ain't bad. You can tell it is a newly open course...The back nine is definitely stronger than the front nine. I would even call some of the hole design and geen in the front nine diabolical.

Some areas of the golf course was roped off on Sunday for repairs/construction. Not sure if its temporary or for the remainder of the year.

Just finished playing there today...was Grrrrrrreat!!!!

I didn't score particularily well, but LOVED everything about the place!

Yes it's new, and fairways need maturity, but both Tees & Greens were awesome...hope you like undulations and double-breakers!

Preferred the Front 9 over the Back 9

I was told the roped off fairway at Bond Head was because of disease (pythium? sp?). I guess that means it going to be roped off for the year.

Greens were in great shape - tough to read though.

Played the gold tees (7,000 yards)...not as tough as I thought it was going to be, but the forecaddy helped.

Great course - rates are now $80 after 12:00 (including cart) which is an awesome rate!
