I recently had my clubs stolen and am trying to replace them I was trying to find the exact set online preferable used. Does anyone have ant suggestions on where to look other than here or eBay . I was also wondering what the pros and cons of buying online are and if there is a right or wrong way to do it? I really liked my clubs and I really don't want to start trying new ones again
thanks

If they were stolen can't you just claim them through insurance?

I am getting insurance they are giving me a hard time because there was other stuff stolen and there value of all the goods isn't going to replace it but anyway the irons and driver were brand new this year and I just don't want to be buying brand new ( I have to replace other stuff also) if I don't have too but I need some soon and I would like to get the same clubs back. So I know exactly what I want I am just trying to find it used and fast

You can also try the golf warehouse. www.tgw.com (http://www.tgw.com/). They're pretty good with regards to prices when compared to golf town. You're only problem is of course it's a US company and you will have border taxes. They ship using UPS world wide express, so there are no brokerage fees, and it's a discounted price to boot. good luck. They've also got a good "demo & return" selection.

FGI and GEA are good places for used clubs, as well as this forum here. Though because the TO population is limited, not as much selection here. But it's nice to able to able to meet up locally for transactions.
Definite pros of online via ebay, FGI, GEA, is that generally MUCH MUCH cheaper than retail, often about only 50% of retail for used sets. Con is that there's more risk involved, such as potential fraud and shipping problems. However, those are rare, i'd say only happens about 1% of time, which i consider well worth the 1% risk to save 50% in cost.

i've had almost 50 ebay transactions without a problem. :)
(only memorable transaction was was buying a driver from Nevada Bobs in Vancouver. the driver showed up w the shaft snapped in two ... shipped in back and got full-refund)
(also, bought a set of callaway irons off ebay ... the numbers on the face of the club were RED. ... little did i know that they were 'non-std', upright, if i recall. selller was selling them for a friend and did not know what the red numbers meant. ... again, purchase was refunded without hassle ... only ones getting rich one this back-n-forth action is CanadaPost!)

Both of those are golf forums in the US, I am on FGI a lot, I use the same name there. GEA, I am on less frequently but both places have lots of equipment for sale. You have to register for both sites if you want to reply to posts there, both are free to register.
Here is a link to both sites, if you need any help with the FGI bunch, let me know.
