Has anyone played this course before? I friend of mine at work has a parent that works there. We're playing it on wednesday with a great deal. The course website looks outdated and didnt offer much info on the course.
Any feedback would be great.

Have played it many times over the years , as this is where Moe Noman was the club pro for years. It has changed immensely since then , and not always for the best. Not a hard track.

Its a bit of a dog track I reckon. I used to live in Barrie and played this track quite often.
As already stated, it isn't a difficult track.

When I played it several years ago, it was in pretty good condition. With all the rain this year, I'm guessing it's like that this year too. Not a difficult track....not a lot of risk/reward shots. Pretty much everything is right in front of you.

There a some very interesting holes and some that you have to be extremely straight on. It is not a long course but its fun.
Hole# 3 and 4 are cut through a forest and if you stray right or left off the fairway, your ball is gone. Take an iron off the tee in both cases and just keep the ball in play.
Hole#16 is a strange one that has a 90 degree or more dogleg to the left, don't try to cut the corner too much, its not worth it.
#17 is a reachable Par 4
Conditions when I played there were good, greens always roll well and true and the fairways are like most courses in that price range (see Bradford Highlands, or Maples of Ballantrae for similar fairways).

Maples of Ballantrae is far far superior to Harbourview

I was speaking of the fairway condition. And yes, Maples of Ballantrae is longer and more difficult than Harbourview. The greens are about the same. As far as the layout, its a toss up since Maples changed the routing of their holes.

Flat, small greens, little water, little rough......few bunkers.....

Well I just got back from this course.
That area looks like it was hit very hard with rain this last week. Puddles on greens and fairways. Otherwise great condition. I was happy with an 88 for a first time at the course. Definitely shoot lower next time when its not raining. Definitely a fun little course even at only 6000 yrds from the back.

I like harbour view, I have played it once a year for several years as my brother's law firm has their annual tournament there. It has always been in good shape, the staff friendly and the food good.
For a corporate tournament where many of the players have limited golf skills , it doesn't overpower them, but its not so MM that the good players get bored.

I have played Harbourview many times.
# 2 and #3 are fun. After that, its always like this: 330, slight dog right. Then,
340, slight dog left. then 330....you get the picture..
