I dont think I'd consider a course junk untill I start shooting 6 under par or something... Bushwood is pretty good considering the deal they have its good for beginners to intermediate golfers.

Re; the above...I received an email today saying it is $115 before 10 am and $135 after 10 am with the duffle bag.
Also received an email from Willow Valley for the dates Mon. July 28th - Mon. Aug 4th ... all day twilight rate but must rent a cart...NB: you must print the email and present it on check in. If anyone wants to take advantage of this and does not have the email then let me know and I will forward to you.

Bushwood has the same deal for $60 and the food is 10x better from what I hear. I'll be trying this course very shortly!

I am surprised the negative comments about Bushwood. I have not played there for years (due to poor conditions last time I played) Finally played it again a few weeks ago and was quite happily surprised. Greens are in good condition and the fairways are playable. For the amount they charge especially $20 for long weekend, I think its tremendous value. I think its a better track than Parkview in my opinion.
If its indeed true the food is decent at Bushwood, I will give the dinner package a try as well. I tried the Deer Creek North dinner package 2 years ago and not too impressed with the quality.

Ok guys
I found a deal ( just looks like a regular deal ) at www.hawkridgegolf.com. Stay and play package for approx $150.00 ( taxes included ). This includes 2 rounds of golf, carts, and 1 night stay. Has anyone played here? I'm looking at the scorecard and it looks pretty decent ( 7000 + Yards playing 135 Slope ). I will report back to the forum once I've played there.

I played a junior tournament there back in the day. All I can remember is that it wasn't up to par with the other courses we played. But for that price, I think its definitely worth it.

I have a group of friends who played there in a 4some a couple of weeks ago and said the rack of ribs were amazing. 2 full rack of ribs with a salad and choice of potato. Beats the 4 oz steak you get at parkview any day.

Bubba Watson doesn't mind playing Bushwood.
Bubba Watson’s wife is from Pickering, Ont., and he visits his in-laws regularly. When he’s here, he said, he often plays at Bushwood (formerly known as John Evelyn Golf Centre). Taking nothing away from that facility – it’s actually a great, fun spot -- it’s humourous to think about Watson teeing it up there. I wonder if he pays the $40 green fee?

Bushwood does not have power lines running all over the place like Parkview except for one hole, if you shoot from the blues. Parkview's fairways are manicured while last time I played at Bushwood, it was so-so. The greens at parkview are better than Bushwood's too.For me, golf is golf, with my limited time and money, I am just so eager to play anywhere......sure beats hitting on a mat on my living room.:p

Always liked Tangle creek, people have a love hate relationship with some holes but this is a good deal for the track.
Where the price should be to start with anyways. Condition is always nice I think and some challenging holes, but everyone has ther 2 Cents to add on this track.
You will only be able to judge for yourself so for the price I suggust you go and form your own opinion, I bet you have good and bad to say but for $65.00 it's good. III proberly will end up there next Thursday myself.:)

I like to play at Parkview just because its close to the city. Layout of the Valley course isn't that bad, except for those few holes on top of the flat land. The upper course isn't anything special...for me, if you were putting on the green and able to see more than three groups of golfers around you, then it isn't a good layout course.

Bondhead has a special on - $125 includes the usual cart, GPS, towel, range, and for this weekend a golf shirt.
I'll be back in town, so I'm hoping to try that out.
(I know it's not everyone's favourite, but you can bash it elsewhere.)

Under Hidden Lake's email club, they have a special on that lets you be a member of the course for the long weekend for $250. That includes as much play as you want, driving range, and power carts.
Also I was told that they apparently have a 2 for 1 special on the long weekend as well. However, I don't see anything on their site about it. It might be worth giving them a call about.
