My fiance is from Markham and this coming long weekend we're heading down to her mothers with some friends.

I've only played in the Markham area once and it was at Angus Glen.

We're looking at playing somewhere this weekend. Any recommendations on something we should try out as we don't play out in the East GTA very often.

I know there's Wooden Sticks, Eagle's Nest and Angus Glen. Anything else that we should try to play?

Say within a 30 minute or less drive.

Thanks in advance guys.

Except for AG, the other twos are not in Markham.

Go play Glen Cedar if you want a stress-free and inexpensive round.

Glen Cedars is great, $48.50 with a cart(GPS) on a weekend after 4:00 is a pretty good deal... For fun game, Bushwood has some deals $20 + 12.50(cart) after 2:00 is pretty good too

Have played 4seasons a couple times this year and enjoyed it thoroughly. Not that very busy either on weekends. Located in Ajax.

Yeah I know, that's why I mentioned the Markham area. Since I'm not playing out there very often, anything in the area is possible.

Thanks for the recommendation too.

St. Andrew's also looks very nice.

Thanks a lot guys!!!

Pheasant Run (www.pheasant (http://www.pheasant)rungolf.com) and Westview (www.westviewgolf.ca (http://www.westviewgolf.ca)) are 2 older courses (tighter fairways) with 27 holes each to play. Things can get a little slow at the turn though. Both are walker friendly. I played Pheasant Run last Wed and the course was in good condition, even though we had lots of rain. Haven't played Westview this yr yet.

Angus and Wooden Sticks should have long weekend specials as they are "corporate" oriented courses, meaning they see more play on weekdays.
