Markdale near Owen Sound: rate the courses

Can any take a sec and rate the suggested courses for me and any others from the above map? Best high end, mid range and a decent 9 hole to take the kids. If the rating is close, the nearer to the cottage in Markdale the better.

Suggested courses from my thread on "19th hole"

Owen Sound is about 35-40 minutes away. The outstanding Cobble Beach is there. StoneTree is decent for getting out. Meaford GCC is a good local course 35-40 minutes from Markdale. Lora Bay is in Collingwood, farther by 15-20 minutes, but a nice drive. Batteaux Creek 45-50 minutes mostly east along Hwy 4.

Closer in Priceville (west of Flesherton) is rustic Highland Glen and the 9-hole course at Talisman in Kimberley.

The Ferns outside of Markdale is supposed to be worth the play. Pike Lake by Harriston is good as well. These are not Lora Bay type of courses but you aren't paying $150 either.

Out of 5 golf balls with some yeah buts

Owen Sound 4 is about 35-40 minutes away. The outstanding Cobble Beach 5 but remember the fairways are not 100% is there. StoneTree 3 is decent for getting out. Meaford GCC ? is a good local course 35-40 minutes from Markdale. Lora Bay 5 be sure to get the pecan chicken if you eat there is in Collingwood, farther by 15-20 minutes, but a nice drive. Batteaux Creek ? 45-50 minutes mostly east along Hwy 4.

The above was largely my post to you weeks ago. The original thread seems to have disappeared. My suggestions were based on different golf outing scenarios implied within.
