If you're an 'honest' high handicapper (like most of us), paying less than $1 a ball is SMART...we don't have the 'game' to justify Pro V's, etc....those guys THINK they do!!! ;)

The sale is actually already on for everybody, I was at Scarborough yesterday, everything is already yellow tagged, maybe more inventory is coming though. The Clev CG10/11 Wedges for $50 is pretty good I think the 588's were $75.....when has anyone ever seen a Clev Wedge that low. The R7 woods are great for $50, if you can find in right....all lefty at Scarb, I picked up 2 R7 TP's for $50 a pop, they still had the $499.99 sticker on them from when they came out :eek:. Alot of shoes for $50 as well

Just called the GT Brampton and spoke to the one in Downtown Toronto, it's the R7, not the tp on sale for $50...no Graphite, titanium head, stiff in the 3 or 5 left through out the company....1-3 regular flex left in the downtown store......damn, need the stiff flex...one hell of a deal....

For 50 bucks, I got the ladies shafted r7 ti 3 wood...gonna get it reshafted and laugh as i woulda reshafted the stock shaft anyways.

heads were exactly the same for men and women except that men's FA is 1* closed and Women's was square which I prefer.:rofl: these things are still going for $150 at TGW!

Didn't see any sales prices on cleveland wedges,

there are a showcase full of Callaway Heavenwood steel/graphite hybrid @ $100 and more at the back
also they have little selectoins of callaway neutral FT fusion hyrbrid @ $100 also ($249 reg.) and fairway wood @ $125,
no stocks at the back, only wat's displayed (many steel shaft, little firm and reg. graphite) 2H-4H

Oh it's the TP alright, I got 2 for a buddy yesterday (Lefty of course) and this deal may have been only in Scarborough, still had the $499.99 sticker attached to it. I asked if they had anymore, hiding under anything in the back room and NOPE, not a chance. If you can find them at other stores they should be $50, no matter how hard they tell you no. If not let me know the store and we can get them shipped to Scarborough ;) I was there again today and most of the R7 woods are gonzo, even the lefty stuff, mostly 7 woods remained. The Titliest woods for $125 are a steal (F2 and F4), I grabbed the last Strong 3 in the F4 and grabbed the matching 5 wood :)

I was in the Brampton GT at 9pm on Thursday (Airport Rd. just north of 7), they had at least 20 Cleveland Wedges...CG 10 and 11, left & right, 56, 58, 60 Chrome & Gun Metal, all are $50

...also had TaylorMade hybrids $50 only had (4) RH 22* stiff flex, but had at least 12 LH

Scarb has the $5 and $10 Etonic gloves, I bought 6 of each :D The $5 are the older version and the $10 is the newer with the magnetic ball marker.

Uberrider...if you are new to the game i would suggest picking up a used set for cheap in the buy sell section. Depending on your budget, you will find some really good deals on here. Paradise would be decent for a beginner but i dont believe the quality would be as good as some other OEM brands like taylormade, ping, callaway, titleist, etc.... how much is this paradise set going for anyways?? and does it include the woods, putter etc??? this will give the members on here willing to help out a better understanding of your budget and your needs/wants.

Once the golf bug hits you, as other members would surely agree with me on, if you buy cheaper clubs you will only be selling them in a years time to buy better euiptment. thus you might as well start with a decent used set.

Thanks Shooter for the heads up, I called GT brampton and they held me a hybrid R7 rescue dual 22 degree stiff for me. Hopefully I can use it, the sales rep told me this would replace my 4 iron. But I can hit my 4, oh well, this is my first hybrid so we'll see how it plays.

You better call Brampton GT, they had a few RH left when I was there yesterday(noon). Go with the hybrid if you can find one but I guess a 5 or 7 wood will do.

They also had other hybrid clubs founders club and jazz for 25 bucks. They looked ok.

Heartland had lots of Etonic gloves, at least when I checked Friday night. There's 2 types, one's $5 and another $10, which has the magnetic ball marker on the ensignia. They also have the ping glove for $10.
