This is a weekend trip with the missus, she may have something to say about that. I have the opportunity to play one, still debating, but if anybody who has experienced any of these tracks, it would help in my decision.

Pasatiempo is an Alister MacKenzie course -- one of the few public courses he designed that is still in play. He's the designer of Augusta and the course is terrific.

I played Halfmoon Bay, I played the old course (I don't remmeber what its called), but all I remmeber was that one that side it was all treeline except for 17, and 18 where its by the Ocean.

If you love the ocean wind, then play the Ocean course.

I'd say the first 16 holes on the old course was average, but 17, and 18 are spectacular.........one of my balls now live there on a permanant basis ocean side.

But one drawback is, there's no driving range at halfmoon bay when I went two years ago, I don't know if they have one now.....
