Ah Copper......
Played it twice so far this year. Condition is excellent, facilities superb, price...... not so much.
If you are only concerned about the golf, and can look past the rediculous greens fees; then you will not be disapointed. The range was terrible earlier in the year, but it has come back nicely. Always a great day, especially on someone elses dime.:p
I wish I had another four free passes.:D

Lowpost42 and Weirfan just played this past weekend, so perhaps they will chime in, if not hit 'em with a PM.

price/niceness ratio is ridiculous. The very same company also owns peninsula lakes which imho is as nice or nicer, and 50 bucks cheaper. dozens of better value courses out there, i was heartily disappointed, as i was expecting more based on the hype and price.

Played Copper Creek on the weekend
teed off at 12:18 and paid $121.50 and that included cart and unlimited range.
b4 noon price is much more
I posted ealier tonite that I have played every course in the GTA except 2 ( and the ones that have opened this year...playing wyndance soon)
Copper Creek is one of the best courses for scenery, clubhouse, facilities, quality of course, conditions and if you dont pay the prime rate for the $$.
and if the wind blows like it did sunday it can be tough
whome ever said Pen Lakes is better is in a dream world..pen Lakes is a good average $50 -$60 cousre and not even in the top 5 maybe even not the top 10 in Niagara area
but this is about Copper Creek...
The front 9 is certainly more beautiful than the back although the 10th is a great hole....18 is a bit of a weak finnishing hole as it os a short down wind par 5 but a nice reprieve after 17
Enjoy it and make sure to have a look or better yet have lunch or dinner out on the back patio overlooking 9 and 10
food was aveage...good burger at the turn
beer a tad pricey
cart girls were outstanding...Marie and Ingrid

One of my personal gauges of a course is whether or not I can recall some of the holes later on.
Frankly I only remember hole #1 right now and the tree on the front right of the green. IMO, it doesn't do anything for me and is over priced.
I'm not a fan of CC and I know I am in the minority by having that opinion among my biz colleagues. I have paid once to play here and I have been fortunate enough to have played here a few times on someone else's ticket.
As with any course, try it for yourself is the only real way to find out.

Rusty,
You don't remember the 10th hole of Copper Creek?

Sorry, not when their best rate is $120+.... Sad but if someone elses dime sure, but it is a steep rate.... Interesting, but I imagine that they have the $120 pm rate factoring in higher food and bar takes, then in the morning.

that would be me, but i'm not in a dream world, my point was that pen lakes is more scenic than CC, yeah not a s tough but let's just say that copper creek is not in any way $100 better than PL. If you want to turn your nose up at PL that's fair, but my point still stands - for that kind of coin there are several way better courses all over the place. The luxury we have in GTA is we always have other choices. Eagles Nest. Bond Head. St Andrews Valley. and on. and on. My opinion's still the same - I golfed at Copper Creek and I was very underwhelmed, and there are a good 25 other courses I'd plunk my money down at first before I'd go back there.

Rusty,
You don't remember the 10th hole of Copper Creek?
Nope.
I went to thier web site and I rememeber it now. Tough hole. Plays long for me. Friends who like the course are able to go thru each one, but not me. The course just doesn't do anything for me.

And on 23 (Glen Abbey and Eagle's Nest being the only exception) of them you'll get change.....:D

I have played this course several times this year. The last 2 times were over 6 hour rounds, and the greens were hacked to hell. Just too much traffic. I was unreal. We complained to no avail. The range was unusable as there were simply too many people there. For what they charge, they need to stagger t times by another 5-6 m at least.
