Personally not a fan of a few of his choices. However, they are his choices and he is entitled to them.
This whole top golf course ranking is a farce anyway. Personal affiliation with clubs and wining and dining can both lead to biased opinions.
As for his list itself I would have to say the exclusion of Westmount and Beacon Hall are the most surprising and inclusion of Redtail and Eagles Nest most surprising.

Eagles Nest is big surprise. But to each his own I guess.

I can't believe Eagle's Nest topped Osprey.....both great tracks, but as this is a personal opinion I feel Osprey should easily beat out Eagles Nest.

Yes Mr. T. has some interesting picks when comparing to ScoreGolf 100 from 2006. Here is the criteria used:
http://www.ontgolf.ca/g4g/
Rob rated Redtail at #9 when 2006 ScoreGolf rating is #15......??
Links at Crowbush Cove has always been a constant in the ScoreGolf Top #10, but is not even in Rob's Top 15............we do know he is not a big fan of some of the design...........;)
What I tend to believe will differ Rob's ratings from perhaps the average other 80 raters is that Rob as mentioned has played 300 courses in Canada. The average rater will have played a significant less number......suprised if they have played 25 different courses............Therefore, the highly marketed, hyped courses will tend to score higher as these are the ones the raters will have played..........
From Rob's Blog:
"A couple of factors to keep in mind:
Score went to a ten point scale from a five point scale. Each category (beauty, challenge, strategy, design, par-3s, par-4s, par-5s, conditioning and fun) and a simply added in numbers for each course. The program then averages them (on a weighted scale) and spits out my Top 10. I didn’t adjust it much, and left the list as is, though it might not meet the Top 10 I keep in my head.
There are now more than 80 raters across the country for Score. It’ll be interesting to see how those numbers reflect in changes/alterations to previous lists. I have no idea how the list looks — but I’ll be intrigued when it is announced in a few week’s time. There’s going to be a television show on TSN to announce the list that I’ve been asked to be a part of. Should be fun. Watch it Aug. 17.
This was a time consuming process. I rated 130 courses for the list, but had another 70 or so that I played but didn’t feel would make the Top 100. I suspect I’ve actually played closer to 300 courses in Canada.
I awarded a couple of full 10s, based on the Canadian list. Highlands Links received 10 for beauty, while St. George’s received top grades for strategy and its par-4 holes. "
