I'm sure everyone of us has had the worst possible golf shot ever in our golfing life. I'll start off with mine:
Was overseas and played the next day early morning (jet lagged) with my uncle after not having played during the winter and seldom played during the summer. Anyway, teeing off, my caddie who was in line behind my back about 5 yards away was awaiting my tee shot. Then as I came down with my swing, I don't know what da hell happened and my ball hit my caddie behind me, hit her leg line drive style. She was neither in front of the line nor way behind (w/c would have been worse) but just in line with me behind my back. She didn't have time to react at all and had that shocked look   Still, to this date, I don't know how I could have hit the ball there even if I try.
What's yours?

the chili-dips..
gosh i hate those...especially when the ground is so soggy...it takes me like 3-4 shots from 100 yards to get it on the green...all because of stuipd chili-dips:(

what is that? Hitting the ground behind the ball...or "catching it fat"...leaves a gigantic divot..and the ball only goes a few yards.....extremely ugly...
sucks especially when the ground is soggy/muddy...
" scooping up chili dip with a piece of taco."err..scooping up mud/dirt with the club face...i guess..lol

In my 1st season of playing golf, I sliced my 2nd shot which resulted in the ball hitting a Port-o-potty and landing in my fairway!  fyi it was unoccupied at the time !

Too many bad ones over the years, it was probably a 50 yard hosel rocket near the green, fortunately it does not happen often any longer.

I doubt anyone can beat mine. First time playing in wet, soft conditions this year. Trying to hit a hybrid on a downhill lie, ball below my feet. Took a huge swing, topped the ball - the end result?
Ball digs two inches ahead into the ground, creating something like a ball mark on a green, and then travels about a foot backwards. My foursome and I couldn't stop laughing - negative yardage, and no trees or anything else actually hit.
How's that for embarassing.

I was playing Bradford Hoghlands, #4, Par 4 dog leg left. I'm a lefty so I slice one huge into forest on the left. My buddies are howling 'cause I started Par, Par, Birdie.
All of a sudden we hear CRACK and my ball comes back out onto the fairway about 150 yards out !! There is no way that ball should ever have been seen again.

oh ya the green was flat.
i can't explain, but i wasn't hitting the ball too far, my hand was twisting on my puts for some reason, and i was missing the hole by about 6''.

Okay, this will test my story telling skills.
I am up playing at Muskoka Lakes and I went out to the range to warm up. I had no played in a couple weeks so I was very concerned about my short game.
After a couple sold wedge shots I grabbed my Lob Wedge and started to pratice some flop shots. The first one was okay, the second, not so much.
I caught it directly off the toe and shot it straight down the range at waist level no higher. It proceed to slam one of the members in the arse...I thought I was a DEAD MAN.
He almost fell over laughing when he figured out what had happened.
