Okay, here's the situation:

- a friend 'qualified' for the Volvo Challenge that is coming up at The Club at Bond Head;
- apparently, its ... eh, screw it!!! Here's the email he sent me:

"Hi!!!!!!!! Is it possible to get a CPGA-certified handicap card for this tournament? The tournament is sept. 28, 11:00am registration with shotgun start at 1:00pm at The Club at Bond Head. The format is a Two person stableford. They have an optional practice round on the 27th, if we are interested we must book ourselves. Entry form needs to be completed and returned by Sept. 16. Let me know if you would like to go?"

I don't keep my scorecards as I've never really cared about my handicap. When I played in the men's league, the club kept an 'official' handicap, but I don't have any scorecards.

Now, I haven't talked to my friend, and it's very possible that he's over-dosing on his meds again, but what do you guys know about this Volvo Challenge? I'd like to go for the experience and the chance to play Bond Head, but...

Can this be done in time?

Albert

Don't mean to be a smart a$$, but handicap cards are issue by the Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) not the Canadian Professional Golfers' Association(CPGA), through your local provincial organization. GAO in most of Ontario and Golf Quebec here in Ottawa and regions east of here.

I appreciate the correction, but I wasn't too worried about whether the RCGA gave it out or if I had to ask Santa for it. Just wanted some info into this tourney and how to get it done. I have the details now.

Thanks
