When go for the test drive they'll ask for some information or a photocopy of your drivers license. DO NOT by any means allow them to photo copy your license or take down your number. They'll say it's for insurance purposes, but presenting your valid license and a valid insurance slip is all they need for that. What they do is they run a credit check to see what your history is like. If they insist on taking a copy of your license, make sure that you ask them if you can write "I, _____(name) do not authorize any inquiries on my credit bureau records by _____(dealership)". Date and sign it.
Having a credit hit from a car dealership is a heavy impact on your credit score - having multiple hits at a time (from opening a bank account to purchasing a car and everything in between) can lower your score drastically.
Other than that, hot deal :thumbs_up
thanks for the info BigShooter! I can't seem to find the listing of participating golf courses... is it really just Rolling Hills and Pebble Beach?? :p

I haven't done it yet, but I think they give you a 'promotional code' after the test-drive, and you enter it (somewhere), and as the site says "for a minimum $35", and you can get the 'list' of applicable courses at that point.
Maybe another TGN'r, will post WHERE...I gotta work most of this week, and then I'm headed out to the Left Coast for golf next week, so I won't be taking any Test-drives soon!
I know EVERYONE will MISS my posts for the week!!!!! :D

Went last week to the Mississauga dealership, inquired about the deal (they did not have any Eclipses avail for test drive hehe) but got the coupon code anyway, entered it into the website and got confirmation that the golf voucher will be mailed to me within 2 weeks. The whole visit took about 15 minutes (btw. new Eclipse is very nice) and they did not take any personal info from me whatsofever. No word on the list of golf courses though - but you know - free is free. I'll update you once the voucher arrives.

How are they going to get the voucher to you without personal info?
I'd be interested in knowing which courses you get to choose from.

AlbertI sent my info in via the website a week or two ago, and i'm expecting my voucher to show up any day now. To answer your question, you are not asked for any personal info at the dealer. You do give your address on the website, where you enter in the PIN code that the dealer provides on a little slip.
Beware of K-W Mitsubishi though, the sales guy I dealt with was a snake and made me work to get the pin code. :hush:
