As for the course is was as good as you can expect for the 1st week of public play. This is a new course and will take a few years to come around and play to its full potential. So again thanks to everyone I had a great time and hope you did too.
Cheers

Would have loved to stay...but I had to get home. Would really like to meet you guys and play a round maybe this year......
Rob
I'm sympathise with you here bro, I think I take top honors after hitting four rocks off the club face, one of them being on a tee box about the size of a billiard ball.....but no matter how bad it was or even if you didn't think ya won a skin, it would have been nice for you to stick around to share the story with us and make us all laugh a little more. There were some great players out there that struggled with the way the course was conditioned, so you aren't alone in the department of not being fully %100 pleased with the golf course. RR did an awesome job of organizing this, and actually getting 24 guys out for a round of golf is awesome in my books.
Hope you can make it out to the next event GB, but stick around no matter what the outcome....this way I get the chance to put an ugly face to that name of yer's and pick on you, all in the name of good fun. :D :D :D
Cheers GB,
Scott

Yet another big thanks to Ronny for putting this all together. The weather was great and you couldn't have hoped for a better group of guys. I had a lot of fun and got to meet some great people along the way. Thanks also to Swaaain for the Robaxacet. By the time I walked up to the first tee I knew I should have stayed home after blowing out my back on Wednesday night. I couldn't swing without pain and by the 3rd hole I was ready to go home then I took the pills and it got better.
The course itself was definitely a challenge. Needs a season to grow into itself and take roots but the layout is fantastic. Some tricky blind tee shots and short/narrow landing zones. And those bunkers! John Daly was in a really bad mood when he decided that 80% of the holes really needed a few 5' deep pot punkers in the fairways. I'm also convinced that my balls had sand magnets in them because I got to experience the view from almost all the deep bunkers! I have a photo to prove it. The closest to the pin on 16 was a good idea. I tee'd it up and immediately said uh oh, the ball was going right at the pin. All I could think was if this thing lands next to the cup they are going to linch me when they see my scorecard. It landed about 3 feet from the cup and rolled out just past the closest marker. My life was spared. Not the prettyiest round I've ever hit by any means (but 1 I would like to forget). I hoped to break 90 at least and maybe even 85 but not on that course on that day. I didn't even break 100! I hope John Daly finds and enjoys my box of Maxfli Rev Tours and the ProV1x's.
After the first round was all said and done, Nobodyhere and I headed back out for the bonus round. We both played really well and my regular game decided to show up. At the quick pace we were playing we snuck in 11 holes and the 18th before it was too dark on the 18th green to see the cup.
Good times were had and friends were made. A trip well worth the drive. Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome on my first time out.

Ronnie,
Well done on the weekend. Great time was had, and some deals made too. Thanks flakes, Frankie, Sally says she is having a paternity test and wants her underwear back too.
Thundering will be a great course. Conditioning was what I expected for a course that had just opened. We took it's flower as the first event it hosted. The staff was great, and accomadating and I will definately play there again, late next season.
When is the next trip planned, I am on it for sure. And just to clarify for everyone, I was a very very good boy this weekend.

No, I'd say shy was definitely not what they were. That's like, what, three years in a row with drunken ladies softball teams... I guess I'll work on getting my wife to take up softball.

Hey RR, as always it sounds like a blast, but I don't think we'll make it. Way too far to travel for one round (need mega bling bling for fuel... 145KM's away!) Especially this time of year when the weather is a crap shoot. Course sounds awesome though. I'm guessing it's booked up as well.
TJ and I are playing AG next Sunday though. Can't wait. I've heard many great things about this course.

Oh RR, in case Flogger didn't mention it, I suck, but I think it's been a while since I was slow enough to kill the pace. Looking forward to it.
