End of Golf Season

As this being my first season golfing, I was wondering when does the golf season typically end in Ontario?

What month does it get unbearably too cold to play?
When do golf courses start to close for the winter?
What is the latest in the year you've ever played?

Ususally stop playing in november or december. Latest round for us here in ottawa was december 14. Ususally when the snow sticks to the ground the courses ususlly shut for the winter. :(

Besides, we shouldnt be talking about that yet, we still have a couple months of playing.:D

Golf never ends, just gotta commute a little more...

Private courses are generally 3rd or 4th week of November, with Public courses following suit a week or two later, in this area at least.
Once you start seeing frost delays push times to 10am or so, you can be pretty sure that closures will happen shortly afterwards.

But, I agree, we don't discuss this at this time... :hush:

i recall that Brookside remained open the entire winter a couple of times. But then, that may be one of the reasons why it don't exist no more.:(

I usually wrap it up for year a bit earlier than most here, which is sometime in October. I do recall playing once on November 1st, and it got to about 20 degrees that day. Maybe I'm just not into bundling up as some people.

The club I work at ;) usually closes 1st or 2nd week of November. We have a season ending tournament typically the final sunday of October which we use all money from registration towards prizes and have a reverse draw. Meaning the day is all ablut the fun and the meal, and you may win something too. I will post more about htis event once I know more though.

This will be my first full season also. I started late last season (fall)
I played in a lot of cold, rainy, hailing, and just plain crummy weather last year.
But it was well into late Oct.

It was fun playing yesterday, we'll go again before this season is over... don't you worry!
