Played the Abbey yesterday in a tournament - what a disappointment. The greens are in the absolute worst shape I've ever seen (and that includes high end courses and $15 cottage country goat tracks).

I generally play Glen Abbey once a year - for anyone who is even thinking about playing there this year, do yourself a favour and forget about it. Not sure if they are offering a discount, but you couldn't pay me enough to waste 5 hours there until they get the greens back in shape.

I apologize if this thread is a rehash of another thread, but scrolling down the topics list, I didn't think so.

I played there this summer and found it decent after having very low expectation. I think they had recovered from the Open withdrawal.

Of course, it was a corporate tournament and it was a day off work. so I figure I probably was just happy to be playing golf.

I had played there and posted my disappointment as well.

I cant understand BELLYS low expectation based on the fees they charge

If Im gonna fork over 100 clams for a twilight round (after 3pm) I expect FAR more than what they delivered.

I'll never play there again.

My feelings about Glen A$$ey are documented here (http://www.torontogolfnuts.com/showthread.php?t=2032)

Apparently, not much has changed.

Clarification:

I was in a corporate tournament when vendors picked up tha tab.
Bad golf course was still more tolerable than being in the office babying people...
