I started golf this summer and already I am addicted to it, I can't get enough of it :) anyways I wanted to find a course with a low priced membership for next summer so I can go like 4-5 times a week to make my game better. Anywhere near Woodbridge, Maple, Richmondhill, Markham, Thornhill Area is fine with me. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Markham Golf Club located on Woodbine/16th Ave. is a 9-hole course, which I read was offering some real low priced memberships/offers. The course has gotten some good reviews.....check them out once you have a chance.

wow. that's a pretty good deal. I was going to tell him to check out clublinks. A friend of mine has one of the packages and he can visit a couple of different courses that are part of clublink. I don't know the price right now, but I'll look into it.

I wish I could join Heron Point for that price! Of coarse I live in Paris so Heron Point is close for me but the real numbers for H.P. are far out of my reach.

Heron Point is a Clublink course, isn't it. That means you don't have to join Heron Point particulary. Join the newest, cheapest clublink facility and thanks to their reciprocal play you can enjoy HP for less ... as a member.

Actually, the Markham Golf and Country Club is an 18 hole course. It starts on the south side of 16th on the west side of Woodbine, and goes under 16th avenue and continues on the north side of 16th. I couldn't find a web site.

Seems to be some confusion between Markham Golf Club, which is private and located at Woodbine and 16th.
And Markham Green Golf Club, which is public and located near Ninth line and 14th.
Markham Green is a nine hole facilty and they offer some nice packages.
It is the remianing nine holes from the old IBM course. Convenient for me from my office, I play it a few times a year after work. It is a very challenging nine holes.
