What kinda golfer are you? When do you say enough is enough, it's too cold, conditions are terrible or I'm paking it in for the season?

When do stop playing for the year?:(

usually late november when all the club link courses are closed and I'm stuck at Rolling Hills. After one round there, I say it's not worth it...

funny thing is come April, I'm back at Rolling Hills and cannot wait to have the other courses open so I don't have wear a hard hat when I play.

In the last couple of years, I've been stopping in mid-October, although I want to push that a further out this year.

I've decided this year that I'll never stop. When courses are closed, it's off to the sims. If the sims are booked then it's Tiger Woods Golf on the XBOX. If my thumbs get too sore, then I watch The Golf Channel. If my satellite TV is down, I read golf magazines, if my wife wants to fool around... okay then I stop with the golf

I play until my home club closes for the year... usually mid to late November, depending on when the first hard frosts hit.

Over the winter months, I usually slash it up at Grand Valley or Camisle once or twice just to keep fresh. :(

No, you won't. That still qualifies as a score or even as a hole in one ... if you skip the foreplay that is ...

Wayland's Top List of Reasons to Stop playing Golf in Toronto

1. When the water in the cup freezes
2. When the drunkard snowmobiler's are wreaking havoc all over the course.
3. When the icicles hanging from my nose are longer than my driver.
4. After I've been admitted to emergency for a wrist fracture after mi****ting a muscle back iron in 10* weather.
5. When I can't finish a Sat round in time to catch the start of Hockey Night in Canada
6. When I get sick of losing balls hit perfectly in the middle of a fairway but gets lost amongst the fallen leaves.

Past two years it was early December when they pulled the flags at my course. Last round in 04 was Dec.5, flags came out Dec 6. The ponds had ice on them! My buddy had a ball land on the ice and the wind blew it over to the edge of the pond and he picked it up! I hope this great fall weather continues, I have the next two weeks off, then work a week then off again:)

One of the members at my course has this canvas/clear plastic cover that fits over a golf cart. Zippered doors and all.

When it gets cool he puts it on for every round, and when it gets a bit cooler he has a portable propane heater he fires up inside! We always kid him that he needs a plow to mount on the front of the cart so he could golf all winter!
