Playing in a shotgun at Wooden Sticks, when there was a huge storm with lots of thunder and we saw lightning in the near distance. Kept asking marshalls if there would be a delay/horn, but they just said to keep playing. We couldn't really quit as there were groups ahead and behind us but nobody knew what was going on. You'd think they'd have safety in mind? What's the standard practice here?

That is very irresponsible of the course and very dangerous.

I've played there on a couple of occasions where they blew the horn and had everyone off the course long before the lightening and severe weather hit.

Carts were all parked underground...

I'm quite surprised to hear this..
But it sounds to me like either someone screwed up or the storm wasn't going to pass over top of you.
