Has anybody played Royal Niagara recently?
I'm playing there on Thursday afternoon, and I wondered what people thought of the course. Anybody have any tips?

If you are playing the Iron Bridge course, hit an iron off the first hole (200 yds max) or drive way right over the bunker. You will probably end up in some rough but it is better than the alternative. There is water down the left and the fairway slopes towards it. You cannot see the slope from the tee and a straight drive or draw (even if aimed over the bunker) will more than likely end up wet.
On Escarpment, it takes a good drive to clear bunkers on 2. Left is the safe route. Your choice if you want to hit driver.
On Escarpment, I think 3 wood is the play on 4 as it is severly downhill and you will get good roll. Aim at the bunkers
IMO there are 18 decent holes at Royal Niagara, unfortunately they are spread over 3 nines.
Stiil, it beats working.:)

Thanks. We got a good deal ($70, I think), so I'm looking for a good warm up round before we hit Ussher's Creek on Friday..
