Well, on the heels of yet another successful group outing to Thundering Waters this past weekend, I'd like to arrange a "year end" outing to Whistle Bear, in Cambridge on October 15th. For those of you from out of town, the 15th is also the wrap up of Octoberfest for Kitchener, so there's lots of stuff to do the night before. Only issue is that hotels usually go fast during that time, so book now.

I've spoken to Brad Matthews at Whistle Bear and booked 6 times starting at 10:09 and every 9 minutes thereafter.

The deal is:

rate:
- $60+ the high temperature as per Weather Network or local TV channel (can't remember which), so if the high is 15 degrees, it will cost 60+15=$75;

what you get:
- use of range (mats only after thanksgiving day);
- cart;
- golf at a terrific course.

Same process as the previous TGN days, either post in this thread or PM me with your interest to attend.

Frank, I'll be sure to have a map for you to the Wrinkle Ranches in town...

Thanks.

Albert

This is happening - I didn't get an invite to the Swaaainer's shindig, so I'm GOLFING!!!!!!!!!

I will be opening it up to anyone and everyone, including guys from my old golf league, so I'm sure that there will be enough people.

AlbertExcellent, sounds like it will be a good time at a FANTASTIC course. I'm sure there will be lots of shenanigans going on with Oktoberfest in town that weekend too. :rofl:

Yeah Albert, apparently the mail system out here in the west loses a lot of mail cause I got snubbed too. :eek:

I should be able to make it unless Jeffy sets something up at Angus. U'd think some of us might even get compd for THAT day at AG. :rolleyes:

Hey Albert,

Are we still on for this weekend? There hasn't been much activity in this thread since the rival match out at Angus Glen was announced. :dunno:

Yup, the 15th at Whistle Bear is a go. I've got 20 of 24 spots confirmed with a bunch of "I'll check with the ball and chain" replies.

I have to have firm committments into Whistle Bear by Wednesday Oct 12. At that point, I'll be resurrecting this thread.

Anyone else interested from TGN?

Hi Nathan. Just you, duffer_devon and myself from TGN. The rest are friends of mine. If you have anyone else that would be interested, by all means pass the info on.

Ok, so an update for this Saturday's event at Whistle Bear.

First, my last post about duffer_devon coming to Whistle Bear was wrong, it should have read DubRepublic as that's who posted above about being available to attend. Are you still available Dub?

Next, I've got 20 of 24 spots confirmed with another 8 tentative (I will need to know for sure by tonight)

Section ThirtyOne, I need an email addy so I can send you the tee time sheet and other info, same with DubRepublic (if you're still in). Anyone else interested?

Last call for Whistle Bear Saturday Oct 15.

I have 6 groups pretty much full. Need three more players to do it right, so if anyone is interested, contact me and I'll get you on the list.

Weather looks decent and it should be a great time.

Price should be about $75 which is a great rate.

Albert,

Looks like i'm going to be out there pretty early tomorrow... I didn't get my lesson this week due to the poor weather, so it could be an adventure tomorrow and i'd like to get some solid time in at the range.

Who knows which golfer is going to show up tomorrow... hopefully it's not Captain Hook. :eek: :help:
