went to Mt Tremblant over the weekend

played Le Maitre a couple of times. It was a lot of fun and views were amazing. The course is a lot tighter than some other modern courses. It wasn't extremely long, there were a lot of elevated tees (for the views) and the greens were fast and tricky to read.

played Geant and Diable the last time I went a few years ago so it's hard to compare now (different time/game/expectations) but I did like Geant a LOT then.

picture 1: waterfall at the side of 18th green
picture 2: coming in on the 9th hole
picture 3: forgot which par 4 that was but elevated tee box. there's a mound/small hill in the middle of the fairway with ruff. So the ideal landing is on the right of it and left of the traps. it's about 10 feet wide there

side note: wanted to hit Schwartz for some smoked meat on the way back but ended up at Smokey Pete's on hwy 20 which is almost as good.

I played both Le Géant and Le Diable this summer. They're so different that it's hard to compare the two. I thought Le Diable is a better looking track (fantastic views), but Le Géant more fun to play. As a lefty, I think I just got tired of being in the fairway bunkers all day at Le Diable. I'd hit nice drives that would typically be in play, only to find it at the bottom of the bunker. For those that don't know, the front 9 and finishing 3 or 4 holes at Le Diable are Arizona-style holes with fairway bunkers running along the left side (or both sides) of the fairway on all holes except the par 3's.

I have played most of them, vacationed there in 2001,2002,2003. I played La Belle, La Bete, Le Geant, Le Diable and Le Maitre. I like Le Maitre the best, next favourite would be Le Diable.

Your pic#3 looks like #15 at Le Maitre. Mt. Tremblant is one of my favourite places to play, a bit pricey but worth the expense IMO.

thanks...but still cheaper than Muskoka...except for the extra 4 hours driving...but honestly, there's just more to do after golf in Tremblant and Montreal is a good diversion on the way up

Been going there the last few years and have played Le Maitre, Le Geant, Le Diable, La Bete, La Belle and Manitou (9 hole gem). All of which are great courses with mostly spectacular sights and fantastic conditions and service.

My favorite would have to be Le Maitre closely followed by Le Geant:D

le geant is tops in my books.

eighteenth tee is a nightmare.

i used to ski that hill 25 years ago as a university student. i can't believe how well they have done with the village.

it is a hike but i highly recommend the trip to anyone.
