I played Fire Rock for the first time on Monday. Although the weather was awful, the course was awesome! It was very soggy, but the layout and beauty of the course was more than enough to keep my mind off the water. The staff was super friendly and the food was great. The course is very challanging and advise anyone looking for a great round of golf in London to play a round there. What's even better is that I got my tee time through lastminutegolfer.ca and saved lots-o-cash. The reguler round is something like $85, but I got a red flag deal for $39 with cart and range balls! Worth every penny!

Thanks for your review, it was on my list to play this year, it appears that won't happen, next year for sure.

I played it on the 9th of July and liked the course. Played it from the tips on a humid/sunny/windy day and didn't find it all the difficult, but was certainly a long haul. Course is wide open enough that it allows for some error off the tee and like the fact that you can pull driver out confidently and just let it rip. The par 5's are long, especially #16 where after hitting a sweet drive, still had 299 yards in (was about 50' from the hole after smoking my 3 wood to try it in two)........only thing I did not like about this course was the 18th hole. VERY weak and would put it as a close second to the worst finishing hole I've ever played in Ontario, second to the 18th at Richmond Hill. I'm sure there are other 18th holes out there that would rank worse, so this is just my personal opnion from courses I've played.
Well worth the 2 hour drive though, if this course was in the GTA it would easily be $150+ per round. The clubhouse is really nice too......

Played it a couple weeks ago with Racmbs, Nobdyhere and another friend of mine (who's not a member here) and we all enjoyed the course. We have definite plans on returning. It's a fun/challenging layout that's in very good condition - not perfect condition, but certainly good. You need to watch it when you're in the fescue/extreme rough as there are so many rocks that can damage your clubs. Fairways, rough and greens were fine, though.
As I mentioned, the layout is fun and it's a good deal - nice clubhouse as well. We will return.
