you probably are a golf geek...but then again i think we all are.

just caught my first episode last night. still a great watch. i need to get back into it like i was last year. watched all but one episode for the Big Break and loved it.

i didn't find as many people watching the last one as BB2. the prizes are getting better and it's fun having a golf reality show to watch.

I can't remember any of their names but I'm hoping that cocky guy wins........the one who use to caddy for a PGA pro before.........he's definitely got game......and I like his Ego... .......either that or the chubby guy......he seems like a real nice guy and saw the bio on him where he gave up golf to take care of his family......he's also got game too.....

The big guy is Mike, and was eliminated last week. Too bad, it's nice to see a really good player who is not a "fitness" guy perform at a pro level. Gives one hope....

A lot more of the pro tour players are getting into shape, but comparable to other athletes in other sports, I wouldn't exactly call them 'in shape'....i mean look at Tim Herron and other players of comparable shape....they perform at such a high level in the game.....so chiantibro, my point is that it's not too late to still get your hopes up...;)

In that case, I'm off to the range......................

I'm with you Chiantibro, I've tried to watch every episode so far, missed the 2nd one I think. Last night was pretty exciting. "bare foot" dude got eliminated by only a few yards. I love the challenges they have, touches all the different scenerios one would encounter in a round.
The only real surprise to me is how inconsistent these guys are. I'm under the assumption that they are scratch golfers, therefore, they should be good in every aspect of the game, but while watching some of these guys play I wonder. Granted, there's the competition factor (but they're playing for Nationwide tour cards, there's more pressure there) and the national TV audience. I'm just surprised that some of these guys hit such bad shots.

You are right of course, but from what I understand the taping takes place over the entire day, and sometimes the shots you see are the only shots they've hit for hours.

The pressure must be intense--knowing every low handicapper in North America is just waiting to ridicule them after each flub. My hat's off to them.

Good t.v. though........

true...great TV...and yes, though not a scratch golfer...I was quite disappointed seeing shots 90 feet away from the pin...30 yrds off the fairway and chunked chip shots from 60 yrds...oh well...better than me still!!

I do know what you mean, but it can happen to anybody I suppose. A few years back I saw Carlos Francos skull a three wood into the lake in front of him. Couldn't believe it. Even the best guys are capable of hitting it like, well, me...

i think the degree at which these contestants skull their shots are much more than the PGA pros and maybe even the Nationwide Tours......the very first elimination contest where they had to put the ball onto a green from like 180 yrds, then 140 yards and then 100 yards...there were only a very select few who could put it on the green, while most missed it totally!....I know if I was watching a pro do it....they'd get it on the green most of the time......

they definitely have their work cut out for them...

I think you mean Kip. You're right Don can be annoying but he makes for good t.v. I saw an episode where they filmed him with his family, and it was like a different guy. He wants to be the winner so he has a chance at creating a better life for his wife and daughter. I admire him for that. If Kip wins though that would be okay too.

By the way EDS does your company work with single golfers as well, or do you need a group to go south? Cheers...

What was I thinking = "Chips" :)

We do not work with single golfers unfortunately, our minimum is 2 golfers in a group. Most golf courses will not book single golfers, if you're single chances are you may have to try and walk on or call at the last minute. We sometimes offer group trips, so I'll keep you in mind. It can't be that hard to find another golfer, they're are a few hundred NUTS on this forum :D

My prediction is still holding true so far.....I predicted Don Donatello (what a name!) to win it all .......I'm still banking on it.........it's too bad tho, would've like to seen Bart win it all...seems like a great guy and great golfer......

Yeah Don's got another side to himself! Couldn't believe he cried like a baby after last show's immunity contest!

I'll be watching tonight at midnight when I get home from work. Hopefully Kipper wins can't wait to see Don's reaction he makes for good tv. He wears everything on his sleeve. Was surprised when Bart went out last week.

What a great match tonight! Glad to see Kip win! Sort of felt bad for Don! Mrs.Kip is nice! :)

It was a good match, but I lost interest in Don when he started freaking out about his lie in the tire tracks. Take it easy man...he looked like a kid throwing a tantrum, chucking his glasses around and saying, "it's not fair." Up until then I was still with him. I'd hate to play with a guy like that...
And Mrs. Kip, yeah, I did notice.....

I finally saw the rerun of the final episode. Good to see a classic Match Play format and it was actually exciting. Clutch putts, good saves, nice birds. All in all, glad Kip won. Don was a little too hyper and such a complainer. Wonder what he did as a former caddie before? If he acts like that on tour, he would be handed fines. haha...can't wait for BB III. ALL WOMEN!!!
