Courses in San Diego

It looks like I'll be in San Diego a few times over the next few months and it would be shame not to take advantage of the weather while everyone at home is shivering ! Does anyone have any recommendations for courses there ? I'll be working and only there Mon-Fri, so I guess I'll probably just have time for 9 holes.

Torrey Pines!

played Steel Canyon when I was there....it's inland a bit so it's very desert like with lots of elevation. Of course Torrey Pines is worth every penny and open to the public.

Also, I heard River Walk (centrally located) is nice also.
