I will have some time after Thanksgiving to play some golf and I will be using my 2 - for - 1 coupons from the golfaccess book for both of these courses. I played St Andrews valley back in April and it was in good shape - have they aerated the greens and fairways recently? Is it in good cond.?
I will also be playing Silver Lakes & although i have not played it yet this year i hear it is also in good shape. I would like to know if they have also started aerating greens/fairways as well.
I hate putting on them with all those holes.
This is the last time i'll be playing this year as we just had a baby boy!:D
Next game is in February at PGA Village in Port St. Lucie. So i need my fix now.!

I played a silverlakes recently. they have the championship tees at ~7000 yards if you'd like to challenge yourself. This course has quite narrow fairways, guarded by trees on both sides. but tree density isn't very high, thus often can still find your ball if you hit into them. course condition is quite nice, and pretty good scenery. though seem like this entire course smell like a chinese herbal shop:confused: , perhaps it's because of the specific tree species they have...

I love Silver Lakes. I think there's a lot of Cedar trees in the area but I could be wrong. Reminds me of being in Myrtle Beach.

Both courses are fantastic tracks....I just hate #9 on StAndrews...That number 9 gets me all the time! Tis definitly a 3 shot into the green hole... unless you're willing to smoke a drive off the deck.
Congrats Golftool!

Both courses are fantastic tracks....I just hate #9 on StAndrews...assuming your talking about St.Andrew's Valley GC in Aurora (and not St.Andrew's East in Stouffville)
I must say that I love #9 so much so that I find it to be one of my favorite par5 golf holes around GTA. Certainly can't call it a boring, straight-ahead hole! :)
GolfTool, congrats on the new addition to the family

I played both courses within the last six weeks. Both were in fine shape. If i recall Silver Lakes appeared at the time to have already done some top dressing etc. Just ask the pro shop when you book.
Have fun.

Played Silver Lakes back in late August....wasn't a big fan...track was quite soggy but we did have alot of rain that past week. Also wasn't a big fan of the service....
Played St. Andrews Valley yesterday. Tee-boxes, fairways are in great shape....greens are aerated. It was still a great time, golf, service, and food....what a way to spend a "work day"
BTW....gotta love that 9th hole!

Glad to hear aeration was done already at St Andrews! Playing there twice in the next 2 weeks! As for Silver Lakes being soggy - its not unusual as it is built on top of a swamp! but you get to L/C&P or move it out of standing water;) Only playing these courses as they are 5min & 7min from my house and i've got to be close to home for the "little guy"
P.S. my brother in law is already fitting him for clubs & my other brother in law has a chassie & motor to go for when he's ready for go-karts:D
Anyone care to donate diapers?!
