Hi everyone,
My new job entails that I play more golf in the new season. I currently play knock-offs and am looking to upgrade to a quality set.
Any suggestions on a set of irons look to spend max $500.

DQ, are you looking for a new set or you don't mind an old set?

It dosen't matter I just want to put a quality set in the bag. I can go either way.

new job entails more golf? maybe you should go with a brand new spanking set, heh...
if you see yourself not upgrading for a while, a high quality iron set that you feel comfortable with would be a good solution.
go to golf town and hit several different iron sets, i know they have callaway x14s on sale before for around $500, or a set of Tommy Armour 845u are under $400 at golf town.

It dosen't matter I just want to put a quality set in the bag. I can go either way.Go to a club fitter. Look at some line other then the commerical name. KZG, Bang, SMT, Zebra, Killer Bee, Maltby, Snake Eyes to name only a small few. Get those Lamkin Crossline Grips and a shaft that fits your build and swing. Bottom line is properly fitted clubs play better and can cost you less. My two drivers cost me the same price as a brand new TM R7. I've hit the R7 and I keep mine, thank you very much.

I'd look at a 2nd hand set of Mizuno MX 20's. For the $$$, you can't beat that set.
