We all want the big guns to win the Majors but who do you think is really deserving to win a Major either because of his work ethic, bad luck in other Majors, recent strong play etc?
My pick would be Sergio Garcia followed by Adam Scott. Sergio because he's now wearing the title "best player to NOT win a Major" that Phil wore previously. Also because I think Sergio's a great talent at age 24, 25? Same with Scott. I want to see one of these young guys win so Tiger can have some comparisons.

hehehe, another Tiger fan, love it!!
Anyways, I looked at the rankings recently and I see that Padraig Harrington is above Garcia, but I don't think I remember Harrington winning any majors. You guys can correct me if I'm wrong..........also I'd love to see Haas win a major, but I think it's much too late for that......

I agree, I think Tiger has pretty well worked out the problems on his swing change and he is hungry.I look for him to over take V J for number one on tour.He may not win the money title as he plays so few events compared to V.J.

I must have missed this thread. Glad I saw it now though. It does make for a good laugh. Not being nasty here, just that one win does not make Tiger "da man" again. :p

Oh I definitely can...in some posts (very few!!), I've had to be critical of Tiger...some regarding his off-course antics and the other just out of frustration knowing he was so close to winning a PGA stroke play event to let it slip away.....
But a Tiger fan, I still am! :D
so is there a pro player that u are a fan of, noback?

Being over 40, I grew up following Nicklaus as my favorite, along with Palmer and Player and Trevino. Trevino was a dandy to watch as is Sergio of todays young guns.
I liked Payne Stewart for his honesty, his love of the game and his appreciation of the fans and what he did for golf. John Daly gets me going too. He's that common guy, a guy like anyone we all know. Gotta luv VJ's dedication to the game. Tiger's far down the list although his abililites to get out of trouble are awsome (shouldnt be there in the first place)
I guess the pros I like to follow are those that can appreciate the fans, the ones that ultimately enjoy the followings The ones that know they are the reason they are getting paid the big bucks for winning a tournament. Right now I think Phil best fits that mold. He has the right attitude for the game these days.:)
